Which Perspective?

Today's verse is Psalm 69:26
     For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten;
      And they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.

    Yesterday, we saw how God has made a way even for the rebellious, yet today, in this Psalm, through David, we see the vengeance that God has stored up against all that have sinned against him, and have rejected the offer of peace, provided by he who was smitten of God, stricken, wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities. And there are those that say, “God is not terrible.” But Peter has reminded us that Judgment will begin in the house of God, and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? So, let us not now follow after this prayer of David, but remember that our God is not willing that any should perish, and warn, for we know not whom God has chosen, and already there is testimony of what looked like the hardest of hearts repenting and turning and accepting that great Salvation, from the Great God of mercy. Amen.
