Help For The Worthless

Today's Verse is Isaiah 41:14
     Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel;
      I will help thee, saith the LORD,
      And thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

    If Jacob and his children (Israel) is counted as a worm, what are we gentiles who are not of God’s chosen People? Yet, even as God, even here, as promised his help to his chosen people, and has sent them a redeemer, so too has he done for us, who have been strangers to him. Currently, we are in the time of the Gentiles, which started with Babylon and Nebuchadnezzar, and will continue, but end during the time of the Beast, that wicked one that will stand against the Holy One of Israel, even the Most High God. During this time, God in his Wisdom and Mercy has set aside Israel for a time that we Gentiles might have an opportunity to Know him, the Redeemer of Israel and all the Earth. Will you Hear, will you Come, will you accept his gift of Redemption. It is for this Cause Jesus came the first time, suffering in our place that we might be found righteous through him, Holy and Acceptable to the Father, when he Comes the Second time to Judge the Earth and restore His People Israel to himself. Will you be ready for that day? Amen.

Do Not Add, Nor Diminish God's Word

Today's verse is Deuteronomy 12:32
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

    As of writing this, I now know of four times that this command has been given. Twice in this book (Deuteronomy,) again in Proverbs, and finally in Revelation. Of which I learned in reverse order, noticing the two instances in Deuteronomy only during my current reading plan. Jeremiah during his time warns of following false prophets: those that either encourage to follow false gods, or presume to speak for God but do not. Here is my theory, in my language, hundreds of new versions have been translated, of which, only one that I know of was translated from the Received text. It is my thinking that these (those not from the Received Text) are the false prophets of today, changing God’s word by adding, diminishing or both (substitution) from God’s Holy Word. We know that God’s Word is Pure. We know that God’s Word is True. We know that His Word will stand forever, throughout all generations, not a jot nor title passing till all be fulfilled. Where is that Word today? Find it. Hear it. Observe it. Keep it, for only by it shall we be found fully pleasing to the Righteous, Holy, Terrible and Loving God. Amen.

Do You Know God's Salvation?

Today's verse is Psalm 96:2
     Sing unto the LORD, bless his name;
      Shew forth his salvation from day to day.

    Over the last few years, I have watched debates where the Wisdom and Righteousness of God was rejected time and again for feel good platitudes and condemnations of any who rejected them, yet those that hold such false pretensions hold them in hypocrisy, even as the Lord God had said they would. Yet, God, even the very one that created us, made us in his Image, to show forth his Glory, is yet long suffering with us, having provided his Son, even Jesus Christ, who went to the Cross for our sins, for our rebellion against him, that all that will may come to him having his sins forgiven, washed by the blood of the lamb, made clean and whole in the sight of a Holy God. Yet, the longsuffering of God will not last forever, and he has already set a date known only to the Father, and when that date comes, his wrath will rain down upon the Earth, and all that have rejected him will know of his displeasure. So decide now, will you choose the blessing, or the curse? Everlasting life, or Everlasting death? Yours is the choice, you will not be able to blame another. Selah [Think very carefully upon this.] Amen.

God Is Faithful

Today's verse is Psalm 94:12
     Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD,
      And teachest him out of thy law;

    With this verse I want to remember and confess and testify of the Love of God through his Chastening hand. For I had quit, but the Lord God, that loves me did not quit me. And as this verse indicates, he chastened me according to what he had written in his Law, according to his Word. Therefore, I know God is, I have no doubt on this, for I learned as he was faithful to me, He was faithful to his Word. By this I learned he was worthy of Fear, even as Moses declared to Israel: Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name. He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things. which thine eyes have seen. Truly, in my chastening by God, I have seen great and terrible things, that I hope by your obedience to Jesus Christ you may be able to avoid, but experience his Grace and his Mercy, by the power of his Spirit. Amen.

Celebrate This Day The Work Of God!

Today's verse is Psalm 92;4
     For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work:
      I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

    Today, Christmas, we Celebrate the beginning of the Work that God had promised Abraham, Issac, and Jacob (Israel,) for Today, we Celebrate the birth of the Son that God had promised David, the birth of the Eternal King of Israel. However, we see not yet this King on his throne, for first, for our sake, Israel first, then for all the World, that King was rejected, first by his people, given to the Gentiles (the Romans) and slain for the sins of the Whole World, for your sins and mine, that all who will, may come to him for forgiveness of their sin, to be made Sons of God, Heirs with the Promised King, when he returns in Righteousness and Power, and Judgment over all the Earth. Will you be ready for that day? Selah [Think on these things.] Amen.

Beware Of False Counsel

Today's verse is Isaiah 36:7
But if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?

    Do you know the Lord, the creator of Heaven and Earth? Do you know what pleases him, and what does not? Rabshakeh, looked at Judah by his own understanding, not knowing God’s Word, and thought surely Hezekiah had displeased God by limiting Worship as described here, but because Hezekiah had read God’s Word and obeyed it, it was pleasing in the eyes of the Righteous God. Therefore, listen not to those that know not God, but search the scriptures, know God’s Word, for in them you will find the Life he has promised, and in them you will find how to please him, and by them you will find good success. Amen.

Promises Made By God, Will Be Kept

Today's verse is Deuteronomy 7:8
But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

    Paul has proclaimed that by two immutable things, (God cannot lie, and He has made a promise) our hope of eternal life is founded upon. And we see that in this verse above. It is by the promise God made to Abraham, Issac and Jacob (Israel) that he delivered the Children of Israel out of Egypt, and it will be (was) by his promise to the same that he brings them into the promised land. And just as that promise has yet to be fully realized, as we see the promises made to us that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, so too will Israel have all of the promises God made to them fulfilled. For our God cannot lie, and he has made us promises. Therefore, seek them out, know them, and as your trust in the Lord your God, trust in his promises to you. Amen.

Why Fear God?

Today's verse is Deuteronomy 6:2
That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

    Why should we fear the Lord? True, his vengeance is a terrible thing to behold, nevertheless experience. Yet David sees the Rod and the Staff of the Shepard, as a comfort. The Rod (as the vengeance of the Lord) keeps the sheep safe from the predators, and the staff, is the shepherds aid, used to keep the sheep from straying, and to bring them back to the place of safety and comfort. So also, are God’s statutes and commandments, they are there, not to restrain for the sake of restraining, but that we might live life to its fullest, with the greatest enjoyment, rather than when we transgress or ignore them, which leads to destruction as a natural result, even before the Holy One’s vengeance comes into play. Selah [Think hard on these things.] Amen

God's Answer To Corruption

Today's verse is Isaiah 33:14
     The sinners in Zion are afraid;
      Fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites.
      Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?
      Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

    And some have said that there is no mention of Hell in the Old Testament! Are you afraid yet? Of what kind of fear toward God do you have? There will be a time when Great and small shall cry out, asking the mountains to fall upon them, lest they encounter and have to face the lamb of God. Yet that same lamb was sacrificed for us, to take our place, to be our propitiation before a Righteous and Holy God. By him, by his Spirit, we shall be able to walk righteously, by him, we shall be able to speak uprightly. By him, we shall despise the gain of oppression. By him, we shall forsake bribes. By him, we shall forsake the hearing of blood. By him, we shall shut our eyes on evil. Thus, we shall live on high, in a place of strong defense, with our belly full and our thirst quenched. Amen.

Desiring, Then Learning The Way Of The Lord

Today's verse is Psalm 86:11
     Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth:
      Unite my heart to fear thy name.

    Know this, and settle it in your heart, that the Lord God, creator of Heaven and Earth, has more interest in revealing his way to you, than you do of finding out what it is! Yet, men have erred, thinking they sought God, but found another, because they rejected God’s Word. Do not listen to those that tell you to follow other gods, or idols. Do not listen to those that fail in their predictions. (99.999. . .% is not good enough!) Do not listen to those that change the Word of God, leaving out a word (or phrase) here, adding there, and exchanging this word for that. For, The words of the Lord are pure words: As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. God has preserved his Word, find it, read it, do it, and thus you will have found that God has shown you his way, and that the Fear of the Lord has guided you. Amen.

If God, Why Evil?

Today's verse is Isaiah 31:2
     Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil,
      And will not call back his words:
      But will arise against the house of the evildoers,
      And against the help of them that work iniquity.

    A question often asked: “If God, Why evil?” Know now and see from the verse above that evil is the Judgment of God upon a wicked world that knows him not, that seek him not. Another might ask, “How is this a message of comfort, of encouragement?” Because now, when you see the evil, you can now know that God has not forgotten, but has as Paul has told us, given such people over to their own lusts, to reap the reward of their own desires. “But what of those that suffer, who are counted righteous by God?” You might ask. Did not Jesus Christ our Savior do the same? Are you better then he? When Jesus suffered at the hands of the wicked, did he not provide for us, as well as them, a way to be made acceptable to the Most Holy and Righteous Father? And are we not promised that if we suffer with Christ, that we would not only be heirs with him, but Joint Heirs to the Son of God. So, if your suffering by the hands of the wicked might bring one more to the knowledge of the Savior, will you be willing to do it. Selah [Consider this question.] Amen.

God's Special Place

Today's verse is Psalm 84:4
     Blessed are they that dwell in thy house:
      They will be still praising thee. Selah.

    In this day, when the Word of God in the world appears to be forgotten, there is still a place of safety, even the place the Lord has chosen, where God’s people, those that have been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb met regularly to encourage each other and exult the Name of the Lord, and learn of his way. Even as the Lord promised Moses, “ . . . at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.” Where the end of the wicked is made clear, and the Door to Righteousness is revealed to all that will hear. Is it any wonder that there, they will be still praising thee. Selah. Amen.

Will You Heed The Warning?

Today's verse is Isaiah 29:8
     It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth;
      But he awaketh, and his soul is empty:
      Or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh;
      But he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite:
      So shall the multitude of all the nations be,
      That fight against mount Zion

    Here we see a warning that applies today, for, do we not see much of the world turned against Israel, against Zion? And a few verses later we read this: Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, And with their lips do honour me, But have removed their heart far from me, And their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, Even a marvelous work and a wonder: For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. Let us therefore, Repent, and turn wholly unto the Lord our God with a whole heart, rejecting the false Prophets that have disguised themselves as true, and seeking out the True Word of God, that we might follow him faithfully. Amen.

A Warning Not Heard?

 Today's verse is Isaiah 28:29
     This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts,
      Which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.

    Consider these words: Wonderful, and Excellent. One not knowing the context that they are in would rejoice and use them solely for the bases of encouragement. But what is the context in which they are found? You have forsaken promises (God promised, but the people have not received.) You have God’s Word accepted falsely (not interpreted correctly,) The Sure Foundation rejected, The priest and the prophet, drunk and wresting judgment. Thus, a people that seem to be right, but in the eyes of God, they have come short. Thus, these words: Wonderful and Excellent, are giving warning to something terrible and dire. Is this not how Jesus described the Laodiceans? Therefore, as John commanded: Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. So should we also do. Selah [Be careful to understand.] Amen.

Israel Is God's People

Today's verse is Numbers 35:34
Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.

    Today, I am looking at the foundation of this verse, and not so much the warning to Israel it contains. (Though even my Nation should fear that warning for it also had been a Nation founded upon the principles of this book.) But as it was true for Moses’ Day, and in the Day of David, so it is still true today: The Lord God Dwells With Israel. We forget this to our peril. Since October 7th, I have been waiting for the opportunity to give this warning. We will do well to remember the promise of God made to Abraham: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. And yet many today are cursing this Nation that God promised to Abraham, bringing this curse upon themselves. For I also read today this request, And render unto our Neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord. To reproach Israel, the Nation promised of God to Abraham is to reproach the Lord God, and if you know his book, this prayer will be answered. Do you Fear God? For in the end, through Isaiah, the Lord God, The Creator, has promised Israel this: He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. As for me, I want to share in that fruit, and not in the reproach, in the blessing (which found its beginning in Jesus Christ) and not the curse, which will find its end also in Jesus Christ. Selah [Which will you chose?] Amen.

How Do We Limit God?

Today's verse is Psalm 78:41
     Yea, they turned back and tempted God,
      And limited the Holy One of Israel.

    I have often railed at the Idea that God is limited by our Faith! But faith that is present affects how we behave, just as unbelief will end in disobedience, so will faith, that is, belief in God will cause us to obey him. Because God is Holy, Because God is Righteous, he cannot abide sin; therefore, he must destroy it, and to doer of it, thus our Rebellion against God limits him. Yet, there is one that became sin for us, and that Righteous God poured out all his anger up him in our place. Will you come to him even as you are, to be changed and made Righteous in him as he lives through you a life pleasing to his Father, no longer limiting him in his blessing for you? Selah [Fail not in making the right choice.] Amen.

How Well Do You Know Your Savior?

Today's verse is 1 John 3:6
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

    Just about whenever I read this I come under conviction: This is Good, we need to. For in this verse, we have the sense we must strive to improve as Paul told the Hebrews to labour therefore to enter into that rest, (One that resteth has ceased from his own works) Now, let us understand what John is teaching us. Just a few verses up, he tells us that when Jesus comes, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And Paul had told the Corinthians, For we see through a glass, darkly. And again, he told the Romans, For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? Therefore, as we know Jesus Christ not, so we find we stubble and sin. But we are commanded to abide in him, and our hope is in him, and any time we sin, we are expressing our unbelief. Therefore, we must confess our sins, for he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And as he is our Advocate, we must continue to seek to know him, and purify ourselves even as he is pure. Amen.

There Is An Advocate

Today's verse is 1 John 2:1-2
     My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
     And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

    Yesterday, I saw in a well-known Psalm, a look at the Judgments, with a focus on what happens before the Great White Throne Judgment, and today, what I read in Isaiah foreshadowed the same events. However, here John brings the Good News (The Gospel.) That is in Jesus Christ we need not sin, but if we stumble (scripture is clear that we will) we that are in Jesus Christ have an advocate with the Father. For it is by Jesus Christ that the Father is satisfied, it is through him that our sin is paid for, in full. Yet, he did not die only for those that are redeemed of him, but for the whole world. Therefore, let us not be timid, nor afraid, but proclaim to all as God gives us utterance, that forgiveness is available to all who will come to Jesus Christ. Amen.

Rejoice, For God Will Judge

Today's verse is Psalm 75:1
     Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks:
      For that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

    This Psalm speaks of the Great White Throne judgment, are you ready? But you say, that is afar off: Deal not foolishly. For you must give an account for all that you do, say, or even think. So, are you Ready? Have you been covered in the Blood of Christ, that is, have your sins been purged? Have you been building with Silver, Gold and Precious Stones, or with Wood, Hay, and Stubble. If you are reading this: it is not yet too late. For Jesus Christ has died for sin Once, and for all that have received this gift, he will give his Spirit, that by him you may live a life pleasing to the Most High God. Amen.

In Such A Time As This

Today's verse is 2 Peter 3:3-4
     Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
     And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

    In my readings today, except for what I read in Numbers (which we are apparently not observing) I read of those that did not acknowledge God, nor his Word, as in Psalms, They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: They have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. And again, Isaiah reports, Thou that art full of stirs, A tumultuous city, a joyous city: thy slain men are not slain with the sword, Nor dead in battle. Do not we now live in such a time as these describe? But what is the promise of God concerning these things? Is it not as Peter later proclaims, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. So, Repent with a willing heart, wholly unto the Lord your God, and lift up your voice that others may hear, not only of the danger they do not perceive, but of the gift of Salvation that is yet offered to them, before it is loo late. Is not the time drawing near? Amen.

Avoid The Snare

Today's verse is 2 Peter 2:3
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

    And through covetousness . . . It is my this means we are enticed, as John warns of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, for it is only by these things that we can be snared. But how can we escape? We escape fy Trust. Do you Trust the Lord with all thine heart? and in another place, Commit thy unto the Lord; Trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Yea, in the verse before that, Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Remember what God said to David, as he rebuked him about Bathsheba, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. These promises belong also to us, but we must Trust in the Lord our God, and place our Hope in him, surrendering to his will, knowing that he truly does only want what is best for us. Amen.
