Pleasing or Appeasing

Today's verse is Psalm 17:8-9
Keep me as the apple of the eye,
Hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
From the wicked that oppress me,
From my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

Truly, what would you rather, to please God, the creator of Heaven and Earth? Or would you rather appease your neighbour, who knows not God, but is angry at him night and day? Have you looked and considered Jeremiah? God promised to keep him, and though he suffered affliction, which we all must, indeed, God kept him alive to an old age, long past the fall of Jerusalem, and the unrepentant hearts of those that where left in Judah. So, will you Trust in the Lord thy God, that he may direct your paths. Selah [Consider, and choose wisely.] Amen.

Thanking God For His Judgment, And Grace

Today's verse is 1 Samuel 2:10
     The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces;
Out of heaven shall he thunder upon them:
      The LORD shall judge the ends of the earth;
And he shall give strength unto his king,
And exalt the horn of his anointed.

Know, that the word of praise that Hannah gives here, is both personal, and global. For she had an adversary in her own family, which appears to have been silenced, but not necessarily Repentant. So, we can expect to happen to all that reject their maker. Yet, also notice, that Hannah is looking forward, for as is current, there is no King in Israel, but as we shall find out, her son will anoint two kings, the second being David, by whom the Saviour, The Anointed One, comes. Amen.

Embracing Our Calling

Today's verse is Romans 1:5
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Who is the “we” Paul is speaking of here? He could be speaking only of the Apostles of the Lord, but in the next verse he includes those he is writing to. So, if you know that Jesus Christ knows you, fear not to tell others of your hope in him. For we all have been commissioned to Preach the Word of God, specifically the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for we have this promise: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. So, Speak that all may hear, those that do not, well, they have been warned, but those that do, shall meet us when we have entered the Joy of our Lord. Amen.

What To Do When All Appears Lost

Today's verse is Psalm 12:1
     Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth;
For the faithful fail from among the children of men.

When the ungodly rejoice, when their rejoice turns to rants, drowning out those that fear God, what should the Godly do? Turn back to God’s Word. For his Words are sure. They are a Rock in a slippery place. A Light when all else is dark. However, even as it brings Judgment, Redemption can be found to all that will Repent. What of you, will you be ground into powder, or will you submit yourself to be broken, that you may be made whole? Selah [Seek comfort in these Words.] Amen.

God Did Keep His Promise

Today's verse is Jeremiah 37:21
Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Wait, did not God promise Jeremiah that he would protect him from his enemies? Look again, do you not see that even while Jeremiah was in prison, the King himself provided for Jeremiah as long that there was bread in the city? Truly, trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. For as God had promised, so will he do! Keep your eyes upon him, continue to seek to walk in his way, and be faithful even unto death, and what you hope for in him, even an inheritance with Jesus Christ, you shall receive. Amen.

It Is Still Possible To Repent!

Today's verse is Jeremiah 36:3
It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

God had already pronounced his Judgment upon Judah, and to obey him, they must surrender to Nebuchadrezzar. Yet, in the midst of this, his hand is stretched out still, and he still offers the opportunity to Repent. (It was not taken,) but will you? Will you knowing now that the Creator of Heaven and Earth, the same that made you, has made a way for you to be right with him, will you Repent, confessing the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead. For if you will do this, even now he will save you, and bring you into his Family, to dwell with him, and he with you forevermore. Amen.

God Is Angry, Will You Escape It?

Today's verse is Psalm 7:11
     God judgeth the righteous,
And God is angry with the wicked every day.

Here we have a warning, as well as comfort. For the righteous of Lord will not escape, but must give an account of all that they do. But the wicked, ought to be thankful that God is merciful, and he is longsuffering, not willing that any should perish. But they ought also to fear, for he is reserving this anger, and he is condensing it, to be unleashed upon the world in the time of judgment, which he has appointed for a certain time. That time is quickly approaching, are you ready? His hand is stretched out still, will you reach out and take it, to be forgiven by the Blood of the Lamb which was shed for all that will receive it. Selah [Let not God’s grace escape you.] Amen.

The Confession Of Paul

Today's verse is Acts 24:14-15
But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Here we have the confession of Paul, that same one that had went to gather those of the way he now testifies, he now boldly, without shame declares before the Judge. Even as he had testified to the Corinthians: We also believe, and therefore speak, having remembered the words of the Psalmist, who also confessed that he was greatly afflicted. Paul, knowing that he could be condemned, stood before the judge, and feared God more than these men that could condemn him. Do you also so Love and Fear the one that took your place upon the Cross, to boldly proclaim the hope you have in him, before those that would condemn you for that very fact? This is but your reasonable service. Amen.

Looking For The Blessed Hope Of Israel

Today's verse is Jeremiah 33:9
And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

Even while Jeremiah was in the court of the Prison, waiting for the destruction of Jerusalem, God promises that Israel, God’s chosen people will once again, not only dwell in the land, but be a mighty nation. But here is the amazing thing, The Goodness of God is what will cause all else to fear and even to tremble. For I believe at that time, it will be remembered what God did to Israel for their disobedience, and what we did to them, thinking that God had forsaken them. Therefore, let us also rejoice, for the hope of the Church is not much different, for the bride of the Lamb, will dwell with the bride of the Father, and even as the Son of David be both Priest and King, so will the Church, the bride of Christ rule over alll the other nations. Amen.

Do You Want The Fruit Of What You Have Done?

Today's Verse is Jeremiah 32:19
Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

Are you Ready? Judah in Jeremiah’s day was not, and they refused to hearken to the Word of God preached by Jeremiah, and God’s Word is clear that they were judged for their sins, even those same things that we see prevalent in our world today. So as then, so it is now, the Judgment of God truly is coming, and those that cannot afford an advocate (none of us can,) God has provided for us one in Jesus Christ. Will you hire him today without cost? For if you come to him today, confessing your sins to him, he will be faithful and Just to forgive you from all unrighteousness. Then he will give to you his Spirit, and if you walk in him, you shall not face condemnation. Have you accepted his gift? Amen.

Once More, God's Word Bears True

Today's verse is Jeremiah 30:6
Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child?
Wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail,
And all faces are turned into paleness?

As the Lord God had said, so it appears to be. Even twenty years ago, it would have been unthinkable to consider this verse being in any way literally fulfilled, but even as God had said that he would have those that oppose him in derision, and that he would give the same a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient, so can we see today. Who would have thought that the whole world, (at least the Western World) would be up in arms, ready to cancel those that would say, “A man cannot give birth.” Yet as God has foreshadowed, so it is. Are you triggered yet? But ye that love the Lord God, and have received the heavenly Gift, and have been forgiven, know that the time of Jacob’s trouble is near, but not yet; therefore, you can take assurance that God’s Word has once again been found faithful, and we have one more reason to heed it and do it. Finding The Inheritance Which God Has For The Sanctified

Today's verse is Acts 20:32
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

I watched a movie last night, of which was a theme akin to “Follow your heart.” But the heart of man is deceitful above all, and desperately wicked, who can know it? Therefore, if we desire to so follow God, we must diligently seek his Word, as well as the guidance he has promised, for it is by his written Word that we can have confidence, even as it has been declared by the Psalmist: I have more understanding than all my teachers: For thy testimonies are my meditation. Making no half-hearted attempt even as Jeremiah commanded the exiles in Babylon: And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. So, seek ye out God’s Word and do it, and he shall build you up, and you shall find out what inheritance he has given you as he has given to all his Saints. Amen.

Is God's Word Prevailing Today?

Today's verse is Acts 19:20
So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

This verse is not speaking of the intrinsic power of God’s Word, for by it will all be be judged, or destroyed. For, after all, by it we were created, and by it we are presently sustained. But, what this verse is speaking of is, how the word of God was accepted by those that heard it. We know that God’s Word is never spoken in vain, for it will always accomplish the purpose for which God has established. However, this verse is speaking of whether those that heard, received, and submitted themselves to it. So, today, can we say that God’s Word has prevailed? Not in the same sense! For today, have we not hardened our hearts against it? Have we not cast it out of our schools and courtrooms? Making light of God and his Word in our neighborhoods. And what is the result? Do we find Peace or Strife? Return now, yourself, unto God, and seek to know and obey his Word, and see what wonders he will perform in you. Amen.

The Everlasting Word Of God

Today's verse is Mark 13:31
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

What is your foundation? Upon what do you base your hope? When all appears dark around you, what light do you have to sustain you? For the context of this verse is the promise of the coming Judgment of God, when the wickedness of men is at its peak (for God is longsuffering, and delays his wrath till iniquity is full, as the hearts of men are fully turned against him.) But even then, the Word of God, given to mankind, from a God that cannot lie, that we might know the nature of his Love toward us, and be able to take hold of the promises that has given us, even as his Wrath is consuming all the Earth. Will you turn to it today? Amen.

Choosing Between Redemption, Or Destruction

Today's verse is Acts 17:31
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Know now for a surety that the day of the Judgment of God is a set time, and it is of course closer now, then when any of us first believed. Now, Huldah told King Josiah, that there is no hope, but that after his days God would destroy Jerusalem and Judah. Yet, after Josiah died, Jeremiah stood up and cried, If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I propose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings. But rather then hear that God would spare if they repented, they took exception that God would destroy them for their evil, and tried to cancel him, even as often done today. But even now, let us look to that one that Rose Up from the dead, who sits at the right hand of the Father, and Repent as Jeremiah commanded Judah, and obey God’s Word, and perhaps God will as he promised Judah through Jeremiah, that God would spare. But if not, Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Amen.

How Long Till It's Too Late

Today's verse is Jeremiah 25:3
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.

For twenty-three years Jeremiah ministered and proclaimed the Word of God unto Israel, even during the time of King Josiah, who gave Israel the opportunity to repent, for he led what appeared to be the greatest Revival Judah ever had. Yet still the people of Judah refused the Word of God, but listened instead to prophets that were not of the Lord, though they claimed to be. But their words where vain, giving the people what they wanted to hear. Now God had told them there will come a time when it will be too late to Repent. As of this message of Jeremiah that time had come for them. However, for us, the Church is still present in the world, and till our God calls us home, his Wrath shall be staid. Therefore, let us return once again to his True Word, read it, and do it, and see what the Lord God will do. Will he spare or call us home. Selah [Consider this warning.] Amen.

God Knows, And Has Foretold Current Events

Today's verse is Acts 15:18
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

Many lament at the condition we see the world in today, and rightfully so, but those that know God’s Word, should not be surprised, because even as God said it would be in the Last Day’s, so it is. So, let this not be a reason to doubt, but even as you lament for those Lost Souls, rejoice, For we know that the coming of our Saviour is closer, then when we first believed. Therefore, let us be faithful to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, yea, the Gospel of the Cross. That the condemned may know that they are condemned already, but they are not without hope, but those that will, those that choose to hear, may know that there is a way to escape The Wrath of God that is coming. So, you that know Jesus Christ, will you be willing even as Barnabas and Paul, to hazard your lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and preach the Good News to your neighbour, whom God loves? Amen.

Reject The False Prophets, That Know Not God

Today's verse is Jeremiah 23:17
They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

Today, there are those that say they follow Christ, but say that he is the God of Love (He is) so, he will not Judge. Therefore, the scoffer says that God cannot be, because he will not judge the evil in the World. Neither have any understanding of the Word of God, neither do they Know who Jesus Christ is, nor what he has done, nor what he will do. Truly consider the Cross, and understand the suffering the Christ was subjected to, what he allowed himself to suffer for our sakes. In it you can truly see the terribleness and judgment of a Righteous God, but in it as well, you can see the Goodness of God, for the Righteous One died for the sinner, even as wicked as we are. Then consider the book of Revelation: who does it reveal? Does it now shew the Saviour in his Wrath, destroying that that refused his Wondrous Gift. Is not this gift of Salvation based on Knowing the Saviour, Knowing the Father, and who they (He) is. So, come now, do not fret, but fear the One that will Judge the Earth. Will you reject the false prophets that seek to deceive you, and seek out the True Word of God, that you might know Him that loves you, died for you, and rose up the third day, that all that will may come, and be washed clean of their sins, even by the Blood of the Lamb and his Word. We Still Have A Promise

Today's verse is Acts 13:23
Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

Yesterday, as I read in Jeremiah, He told Israel, that it was too late, that to save their lives they must surrender to Nebuchadrezzar. However, today, I read how God told Jeremiah to tell the king, that if he were to Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor; and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. . . (Where is such being done today?) So, God would spare, and the king's throne would continue, and his line would continue to reign. They (he) did not repent. But from the foundation of the World, God the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and all that in them is, has left us a promise that he would send a Saviour, (not only to Israel as promised above, but to the whole world) this he did, even Jesus Christ, who died in our place, and rose up the third day, that all who Trust in him, and Repent of the way of the leaders (who blindly follow the counsel of the Wicked One, having deceived many) shall have life eternal, and by his Spirit shall be given Power to overcome in this wicked day. Will you follow him and his Way today? Amen.

What Are We Following?

Today's verse is Mark 7:7
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Let us, therefore, pay attention and so examine ourselves! Do we truly worship God, or have we taken the words and commandment of men and followed them? For over a hundred years, God had warned Israel, that there would come a day, when they would seek him, but he would not be found, and King Zedekiah discovered that day when he sent two servants to Jeremiah, and he told them that choosing life, would be to choose to surrender to Babylon. Has the West, those that were once known as followers of that Name above any other, by which we must be saved, come to this same dreadful state? I do not know. But this I do know, the Church is still present in this world, and we still are commissioned to preach the Gospel to every Nation. So, let us follow our Saviour’s counsel, and buy of me [Jesus] gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich: and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of the nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. So that, till he comes for us to call us home, the world might hear of the Redemption found only in Jesus Christ, that they might avoid seeing the Wrath of God. Amen.

God Has An Answer To Your Fears

Today's verse is Judges 7:10
But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy servant down to the host:

Are you Afraid? Do you fear the reproach of others? Do you fear what others will do to you? But despite this, do you wish to follow your Saviour, and obey his commandments? Then know even as God had an answer for Gideon’s fear, so too, does he have an answer for yours. Did not James tell us that we can pray for Wisdom, and expect God to grant it? What I ask you, is the beginning of Wisdom? Is it not the Fear of the Lord? So, if other fears appear to take precedence, seek the face of your God, and as he had done for Gideon, so he will do for you, and show you a reason to set aside the other fears, if you have ears to hear, and eyes to see. Therefore, will you with purpose of heart, cleave unto the Lord your God?
