The Context of this verse is a recount of the History of Israel, and of their unfaithfulness, straying often from the God that Redeemed them. It recounts God’s faithfulness in not forsaking them, but how he was Just to allow the things that had happened to Israel for their constant sin. Yet, He always watched over them, time and again restoring them in fellowship with them. Like Israel, have we not sinned? Have we not turned away from him? Yet, as he has before, so now; If we turn to him once again, He will restore us, and watch over us, redeeming us to himself. Will you purpose in your heart to follow him faithfully by the strength of the Spirit of Jesus Christ? Selah [Think on This.] Amen.
