Why Jesus Is The Only Way!

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 29:16
O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.

As I read this passage, how that all that we have, we have only because the Most High God of Heaven, even he that Created all that is, and ever will be, has allowed us the stewardship of it for a time, but as I was reading in Micah, I found myself being rebuked, for our God hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; /And what doth the Lord require of thee, /But to do justly, and to love mercy, /And to walk humbly with thy God? And all of this is related to our Salvation by this same Great and Terrible God, for even Jesus asked the Pharisees to go find out what this meaneth, For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Why? because we have nothing that we can bring him, that he has not already first given to us. There is nothing that we have that we can bring him for the redemption of our Soul, (For the redemption of their (our) soul is precious, /And it ceaseth for ever:) Therefore, we must come to him on his terms, according to His way. So, will you come to Him through Jesus his Son, who for your Sin, Died upon the Cross, and Rose up on the Third Day, that you might walk with the Lord Your God in Peace. Amen.

Know What Jesus Expects From You

Today's verse is Luke 14:31
Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?

When considering what Jesus is saying here, consider also what it was that he had told Gideon, for those that oppressed Israel were far greater than twenty thousand; yet, God, yea, even Jesus had Gideon face them with only 300 men. Therefore, consider also what God has done for you, for even as God had told Amos that he would do nothing without first telling his prophets, he told Micah, Therefore will he give them up, Until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth[.] Even as Paul so explained, that for us Gentiles, God has set aside Israel for a time, that we also might be brought into his Family. If God was willing to so Sacrifice for you, are you willing to come to him--Whatever the cost? And count this but your reasonable service? Selah. [Consider first all the Pro’s and Con’s.] Amen.

Understanding Those That Know Not God

Today's verse is Micah 4:12
But they know not the thoughts of the LORD,
    Neither understand they his counsel:
For he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

Here is the thing: Even though our God is not willing that any should perish, still knowing the hearts of men and willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction[.] For surly our God is a Terrible God, and not to be trifled with, and those that will not, must also, even as we, face the Most High and Righteous God in Judgment, but whereas we have a Advocate, even Jesus Christ the Righteous; they, having rejected him, must face him on their own. So, until that day, have we not been commissioned: And of some have compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Selah [Let us not fear to make the Great and Terrible God known, that some may find Redemption.] Amen.

Secrets Will Be Revealed!

Today's verse is Luke 12:2
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Know that when Matthew speaks of a similar thing, that he reports that according to our Lord, there is no secret doctrine, but that all that Jesus taught his Disciples, they were to so teach us. But, here in Luke, we are given a different warning, for all that we seek to hide, shall be made known. For those that pray in secret, and for those that give in secret, this may be a comfort, for as promised elsewhere, their works will not be hid forever. But for those that think they shall escape judgment; their days are numbered. Even as Micah warned the Nations of Israel and Judah, But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, To declare unto Jacob his transgression, And to Israel his sin. Therefore, if God’s chosen people could not hide their evil intent, where will those that know not God appear? But have we not this promise; If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness? Amen.

Are You Willing To Be Weird?

Today's verse is 1 Peter 4:4
Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

Has not our God called us to be a peculiar people? Would not strange in the context above be but a synonym of this word “peculiar?” But what of this word that we are currently hearing, even the word “weird?” This word is not found in my Bible, but can it not be also counted as a synonym of this word peculiar? So, today, if excess of riot is counted normal, and considering that God called me to be a part of a peculiar people anyway, I do not think I would be ashamed of being called weird. If fact, as long as I can remember, it was early on that I learned that being different was not a bad thing, so I have rarely if ever been ashamed to be called weird. What of you, do you wish to be of God’s peculiar treasure, of his peculiar people, or “normal” in the eyes of the World. Selah [Take care of your choice, it has eternal ramifications.] Amen.

Knowing How To Prosper

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 22:13
Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.

Always pay attention to words like “then” and “therefore” and such like when reading God’s Word, because what follows is dependent upon what came before. But since David reiterates the condition, I will leave that to you. But notice the condition and the promise found in this verse. Now, today, we are to obey from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to us, even this: This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. Now this starts with the Cross, upon which he died, but now, it continues by us walking in that same Spirit by which he walked, for in that we shall also live by his Love, shewing forth, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance. Therefore in the doing of these things, be Strong and of good courage, refuse the dread, and be not dismayed, for our God is with us; even to the end of the World. Amen.

Have You Tasted That God Is Gracious?

Today's verse is 1 Peter 2:3
If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

.    Some will find it hard to believe that some, even many do not, have not, found that the Lord God of Heaven and Earth is gracious. Many only see the hardships and the turmoils that plague the world because of the curse God placed upon the earth because of Man’s Sin. They have blinded themselves to the good things of God, that it rains both upon the just, and the unjust, all-in due season, that all may flourish. Denying even that they deserve the Judgment of God in their lives. Therefore, what good is it to them, that Jesus Christ died for their sins. Therefore, if indeed you have seen that the Lord is gracious, fail not to testify of this, for when another hears, some may choose to open his eyes and see what God has prepared just for him, but only if he will receive it. What of you, Do you know that God is gracious? Amen.

When Your Enemies Rise Up

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 19:6
And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made themselves odious to David, Hanun and the children of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver to hire them chariots and horsemen out of Mesopotamia, and out of Syria-maachah, and out of Zobah.

The children of Ammon, who was the son of Lot and one of his daughters had a inheritance from God, even as he told Moses. Yet, the transgressed against David, and instead of seeking forgiveness and restitution, they doubled down and hire another to help them face David. Later, we see that God had ought against Israel, and therefore, he allowed a spirit to move David to transgress. For their transgressions God brought judgment against both Ammon and Syria, using David as his rod. Therefore, if or when your enemies rise up against you, if you yourself have not sinned (as did Solomon) then God is moving against them to show himself strong against them that they (and you) may KNOW that he is God. So, Trust in the Lord your God whatever may come, and fail not to declare his Wonderful Works, that all might fear, and hopefully, Repent. Amen.

Knowing How And Why God Did Such And Such

Today's verse is Jonah 2:3
     For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas;
And the floods compassed me about:
All thy billows and thy waves passed over me.

Wait, was it not Jonah that told the mariners to cast him over into the sea? Or did he so command at the commandment of God? Whether it was of Jonah, or of God, truly God moves among men to work his will, and when a thing happens to you, that thing was approved of by God, even as we see in the testimony of Job. But if we understand the context of what Jonah is saying, we know that Jonah recognizes that he is where he is, by his own disobedience, and that where is he, he is by God’s Justice. Yet, even in the belly of the whale (or fish, as the Word testifies) we see that God heard Jonah, and responded to him, for we see the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land. Will you seek out the Lord in whatever circumstance you find yourself in? Selah [Consider well your response.} Amen.

A Cause To Fear, And To Hope!

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 17:22
For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.

Hear we have a good cause to Hope, for even as God will not forsake his people Israel, he will not forsake any that have placed their trust in Jesus Christ who died for them. But you might say, God has forsaken the people of Israel! Has he really? Have you not read in God’s Word, what he is doing with them even now? But Paul has spoken to this: Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles, how much more their fulness? Therefore, as we examine Israel, and God’s promises to them, let us both be filled with Fear, and with Hope. For as God hath dealt with them for their transgressions, so must we also give him an account of all that we do. But, as we know that Israel will be Redeemed to due course, so also will all that have been Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb. Amen.

Testifying Of God's Faithfulness Constantly

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 16:8
Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name,
Make known his deeds among the people.

Consider with this the commandment of Moses, And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: . . . which he goes on to command us to set them before us as a constant reminder daily, even moment by moment, which had been observed to the letter, but the spirit of the command had been forgotten. We are to constantly remind ourselves of God’s Word, and constantly abide in them, living them, even putting them into practice, then also communicating them to others. But not only that, for Paul has informed us that patience brings forth experience, and experience, hope; therefore, as we live God’s Word in patience looking for his Work in our lives, when we see His Word fulfilled in us, our Trust in him is increased, as is our Hope, and thus we are to Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, Make known his deeds among the people. Amen.

Not As You Expected?

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 15:2
Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.

Is anything going the way you thought it should? If so, first look and see, is it going the way God said it would? Consider the promise God made Moses and the Children of Israel; He said that he would make Pharoah cast them out with a strong hand, then they were surprised when he claimed they were idle. It truly was as God said, even though they did not interpret it that way in the beginning. If it is as God said, then wait, that is be patient, redeeming the time as possible. But if things truly are awry, then examine yourself, search out the scriptures, like David had done here, and see if you have missed what God has told you to do, then apply what you have learned, that as he has promised, you will then have good success. Amen.

The Way It's Always Been Done, Or God's Word

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 13:7
And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.

When the Philistines returned the Ark of the Covenant to Israel, they had done so with a cart, and so, it appears without searching the scriptures, David thought to do similar. But God is Jealous, and we are to come to him by his terms, not howsoever we please, and therefore, because God’s Word was ignored, someone died. And ever true to human nature, David blamed God. However, we have recieved commandment, even through James, Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But if we delay too long Amos’ warning may very well be upon us; And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, They shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. Therefore, while it may be found, let us be doers of the word, and not hearers only; for then we shall be blessed of God. Amen.

Understanding The New Altar.

Today's verse is Hebrews 13:10
We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

The whole book of Hebrews is dedicated to showing the superiority of the covenant which we have with God through Jesus Christ, over the old covenant based upon the Law, which we learned can only condemn, and not save. We have learned that before God presents the solution, he shows the need. In this case, so that those that saw the need may hope, he provided them the promise of a coming Saviour, even though such promises were often not quite understood. However, now we have a new altar, even the Altar of the Cross, and we have a new promise, even one that such as David and Daniel have looked for, for the Saviour's return. Therefore, let us rejoice, continuing about our Lord’s business, till he come and set up his Kingdom, looking not for the Day of the Lord, but that Blessed Hope, even the Day of Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Danger Of Disobeying God's Word!

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 10:13
So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it;

Truly the days of Saul were numbered even before David was anointed King. Yet, God was gracious to him, allowing him to prepare David his successor to be King in his stead. But, even in this he rejected God’s Word, God’s Will, as he often tried to destroy David, and then even as we have testimony of it here, thinking he was inquiring of God (but was not) he sought the counsel of a familiar spirit instead. Consider what we are told in Hebrews: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; is this not what happened to Saul? Therefore, let us hold fast to every Word of God that he has given us, fully giving our Trust to Him that made us, and in the end, we shall find that he ever was more faithful to us, than we ever were to him, even as David so discovered. Amen.

Truly What Do You Seek?

Today's verse is Hebrews 11:40
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

After all is said, and whatever else we may hope for, even expecting to see, what do we truly hope for? Is it not partaking in the first resurrection? That Blessed Hope, when all that have trusted in Jesus Christ, even cleansed by his Blood which he shed on the Cross for us, that by His Resurrection we might also live. But we that are saved are not seeking to see the Day of the Lord, for even as God promised through Amos, Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord!/ To what end is it for you?/ The day of the Lord is darkness, and not light . . . Therefore, seek not the Day that God will bring Judgment upon the Earth, but look for that day when he shall call his own home, and if you have missed that day, and have just now learned of Jesus Christ and his gift for you, do not delay in accepting it, for you are not promised tomorrow. How To Win!

Today's Verse is 1 Chronicles 5:20
And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him.

Do yo know what the will of the Lord is? Do you know the purpose of God is today? Do you know what things must be done before He Returns? These men, mighty and strong and not few in number, knew what the will of God was, according to his Word, and they sought to do it, but as mighty as they were, and as many as they were, they placed instead their hope in the God of Heaven, calling upon him, that the deed before them might be accomplished. So must we also do! For we have been told of the wrath to come before our Lord shall appear, but we can Trust in him. For has he not promised that until we are called home that the gates of Hell shall not stand against his Church? So let us also trust in the Lord our God, for as these men won the battle before them, so too will we prevail as we Trust in the Lord our God. Amen.

Judgment Or Redemption?

Today's verse is Hebrews 9:12
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Today, I had a choice of which passage to bring to you, one of Judgment or the one above speaking of the Grace and Redemption of all that will come to God through Jesus Christ, that is of our Judgment pardoned! Let us therefore, consider what Amos warned: Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid?/ Shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it? Then consider, that in order that God may be appeased, blood must be shed, as the wife of Moses accused, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. But yet, because Christ suffered the Cross, shedding his own blood for us, we need not see the worst aspect of this Redemption. So, if you see the evil in the World, and want to blame God for it, remember, But there is forgiveness with thee,/ That thou mayest be feared. So, I invite you to come and Fear the Lord God and receive his Forgiveness that he provided by the Death of His Son, Jesus Christ, receiving that eternal redemption. Amen.

The Fathers Of The Nations

Today's verse is 1 Chronicles 1:27
Abram; the same is Abraham.

This verse is a representative of those that have come before, and with Abram, or Abraham, all who read this has had more than one of their Fathers mentioned by name, for all of these men (and a few women) represent the history of the world up until about the time of David. And by this list, we get a glimpse of God's interest in all of the Sons of Adam, yea, even all of the Children of Adam, yea even you! We have been told that all are called, but a few are chosen, that is God is drawing you unto his Son, but not all choose to hear. Abraham was called, and he was chosen. He heard and he responded, and by him all the world will be, yea even has been, blessed, even through Jesus Christ, his Son, and his Maker. So, will you hear, will you come and find that you were Chosen of God. Will you come and experience His Kingdom, or find yourself on the wrong side of the Third Woe? God has given you a choice, will you make the right one? Selah [Think on this and make the Right Choice.] Amen.

Are You Willing To Fight?

Today's verse is Psalm 144:1
Blessed be the LORD my strength,
Which teacheth my hands to war,
      And my fingers to fight:

Today, the Man of God must not be a brawler, nor a striker, yet, could we count David as such a one? But consider the commandment delivered through Paul; Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, . . . And so, we must not only be willing to fight, but to fight with all our might against personal sin, against the desire to fit in, against all matter of the evil without that pervades the world, and then having stood, we must speak, and warn, that some of those that know not God, may learn of him, and having learned might Repent, finding their place in the Kingdom of God. Serve God With Diligence!

Today's verse is Hebrews 6:11
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

You may have heard, “The battle is the Lord’s.” And so, it is. Yet, I have been seeing more and more that our God expects us to be Diligent in our service to him, even as it has been pointed out unto me, that just before that time that Jesus walked on the water, he had commanded his disciples to travel by ship to the other side. He as God knew of the coming storm, yet so he commanded them, and they with DILIGENCE obeyed. Therefore, seek out God’s commands in his Word, starting with believing in the One He Has Sent, but not forsaking to loving your neighbors, according to the Word of God, and as you are faithful; you will see God’s faithfulness, first to his Word, which you will find is a benefit to you. Can You Hear The Hard Things?

Today's verse is Hebrews 5:11
Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

When one State announced that their classrooms were to display the ten commandments, there was much derision by those that know not God, one even proclaimed that we needed rather remove guns from the people instead! Not knowing that by having God’s expectations of us clearly listed that that would go a long way toward reducing the violence that we see today. Who among us likes to hear of our shortcomings, yet the wise, those that know God, glory in these things that they may know how, and of what they need to Repent. So, do you have ears to hear? When you hear, will you act? That you may know God and his Righteousness, which we have received by His Son. Amen.
