Know What Needs To Be Missing

 

Today's verse is Numbers 21:17-18

     Then Israel sang this song,

      Spring up, O well;

      Sing ye unto it:

     The princes digged the well,

      The nobles of the people digged it,

      By the direction of the lawgiver, with their staves. 

And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah: 

    As I read this and the immediately surrounding context, I saw something missing. They went to a place, and water was needed, and God showed them where to dig, and they found water, then they praised God. Throughout Exodus, even up the the beginning of this chapter, there was always something present that is not found here. Can you see what is missing? Can you see the change? If you can, let that same thing be missing in you, as you give praise to the God that loves you. Amen.
