God Rewards The Faithful.

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 26:5
And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

Here we see a fulfillment of some of the promises God has given to his followers. For we have been told: He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. And again, in Psalms, When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Yet, there may be times when a purpose that God has set, that may temporarily override this promise, even as we have seen with Job, but not without reward. Was not Job left with double of what he lost? And again, there is coming a time when one will be given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. But even then, those saints shall be recompensed. So, today will you hear his voice, and not harden your hearts, but purpose in your hearts to diligently to seek and Follow the Lord your God. Selah [Consider carefully and make the right choice.] Amen.

The Perverseness Of Man

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 25:14
Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.

We have in Amaziah a dire warning. Initially, he took the counsel of a Prophet, who even let it be known that God can replace ill spent funds. But instead, he lost even more. Why? because after he had a good start, as we see in the verse above, he quickly departed the right way, and sought after the very gods of his defeated enemy. How perverse can we, the sons of Adam, be? Let us, therefore, continually examine ourselves , have we not been told that God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. So, what will you, will you purpose in your heart to diligently seek the God who made you, proved his Love for you through his Son, Jesus Christ? Or, will you go your own way, finding that same destruction that Amaziah did? Selah [Let not the Fear of the Lord surprise you.] Amen.

Shepherd Or Hireling?

Today's verse is John 10:1
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

Did you know that Jeremiah warned of the shepherds that scattered the sheep? Here we learn what is a good Shepherd, even those that follow Jesus’ example: For is he not the Good Shepherd. What is the door? It is even Jesus Christ, the Word of God! And as Jesus gave his life for his sheep, even so will his under-shepherds So seek out those that abide in the Word of God and encourage others to do the same, then follow them, even as thy follow Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Sweet But Bitter Word.

Today's verse is Revelation 10:10
And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

We have the testimony of both Ezekiel and David that the Word of God is sweet. Did not David say of God’s Word that it is Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Yet even as John was told, so did he also confirm, that the book that he ate was bitter to his belly. Why? I believe it is because as Jesus explained, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. When we enter into the presence of God, we cannot but help to see ourselves and how we have missed the mark, we have failed to meet his standards. But if we are able to accept that There is not righteous, no, not one which means me, then we can truly find that sweet savor of Forgiveness, which God has given to us through his Son, which died for us, that our sins might be paid for, and Rose up the third day, that we also might walk with him in newness of Life. Amen.

The Unconditional Promise

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 21:7
Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.

The King of Judah had forsaken the commandment of God. Yet God had made a promise to David his father, and we have affirmed here, that God will not break his Word. Consider, if you will a couple of promises we have from God, if we be his. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: /And he delighteth in his way. /Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: /For the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. And again Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. But yet, even as this King transgressed, even after the sin of the northern Kingdom Israel, so discipline was required, and so we have this warning: There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. Do you have that sure foundation? When you are tried, will you have anything on that foundation that remains? Amen.

Be Slow To Judgment.

Today's verse is John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

We all know the admonition: Judge not, that ye be not judged. That is, do not be quick to judge, for there are many things that we do not know. And again, be slow to judge, but investigate the matter throughly. For consider all of the things that are happening today, and how there are those that would have us condemn those that they hate quickly, that we not oppose them and their own wicked deeds. Remember, without judgment and justice there can be no equity, and judgment without knowledge will only lead to our own condemnation. Amen.

Doing The Work Of God

Today's verse is John 6:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Do you know what it is to do the Work of God? Some think it is to go to church, or to tithe, or to be baptized, or to help their neighbor, or to keep the ten commandments. However, none of these things will satisfy an Holy and Righteous God. So, you might ask, who did God send? Overall of history, God has sent many to warn those that have strayed from him. All of them were to be heard and believed, that the hearers might escape the judgment that was to come upon them then, but not just then, but that final judgment when all must give an account to the Righteous Judge. But there is one above all the others that God has sent that all that trust in him, should then have an Advocate that will speak for him on that day. Do you know who he is, have you believed on him? However, be warned, for Jeremiah has declared: Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully. Therefore, know your heart, and be sure you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Amen.

A Very Important Question

Today's verse is John 5:47
But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

A couple of days ago, I saw a You-tube video entitled Christianity Debunked. I only got within the first 13 minutes because every question of the scriptures he raised, had already been answered elsewhere, all the author was doing, was the same that these that Jesus was speaking to also did. There are two ultimate proofs that God is. The first is according to Psalm 19 and Romans 1:19-20 and is expounded upon by Jason Lisle and is used by Jordan Peterson. I have seen those that do not wish to know God, deny it. The second, which I believe supersedes the first, is that God has told us the end from the beginning, which only he can do, and yet, there will be those that still deny. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. So, the question for you is, Knowing that God is: will you diligently seek him? Or be vain and foolish? Selah [Carefully think on this.] Amen.

Do Not Deny The Undeniable.

Today's verse is Revelation 5:13
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Allow me to speculate. He that letteth (hinders) has been taken out of the way (I believe this is The Church, that is, those that have been sealed by the Spirit of God,) The first seal has yet to be opened, thus the mystery of iniquity (that wicked; the beast; the antichrist) has yet to be revealed, then all of a sudden, (whether for no apparent reason, or that those on Earth were made aware of what is happening in Heaven) Everyone, and all other creatures proclaim, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. None would be able to deny, yet regardless, even by the testimony we later receive from this same book, most do. Where will you be, and what will be your response when this happens. Selah [Don’t be surprised when this happens.] Amen.

Be Stong In The Work Of The Lord

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 15:7
Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

Whether all things appear to be going right (in the light) or at every turn nothing seems to be working toward the good (dark times) always and forever be Strong, nether allow yourself to be weary with well doing. But, whether in the light, or in the dark, remember what God has done, first as recorded in his Word, but then as you have found him faithful, what he has done even in your own life. Then also remember, even as we have been commanded not to withhold payment (if we have it) from those that have worked on our own behalf, so, as we have been reminded here, will the Righteous Judge reward those that have faithfully served him. Amen.

Having Ears To Hear

Today's verse is Revelation 3:6
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Jesus has often said, He that hath an ear, let him hear. When you read the scriptures, do you hear what God is trying to teach you? That is do you understand what you are reading? Jesus’ teaching is clear, only those that are willing have any hope of understanding, because if you are not willing, then he has no desire to force you to convert, that is Repenting, and confessing that Jesus is Lord. So, do you hear, and hearing do you obey? Whenever you see these words, go back, and see if you understand what just preceded it, and if you don’t, examine yourself, and ask God to expose what is causing your blindness (to mix the metaphor) continuing to study and meditate upon it until you understand, whether it comes immediately, or if years pass till understanding is given. Amen.

Are You Humble Before God?

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 12:12
And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.

We have discovered that in order to appease God, we have nothing to give him, that he has not already given to us. Rehoboam, we have been told, having strengthened himself being the King, forsook the Law of God, and for this, God sent the King of Egypt up against him, and Egypt prevailed. It is evident by the verse I have shared with you today, that Rehoboam learned from this, and humbled himself before God. I believe, we can then say, the Rehoboam Repented, and returned to the God that his Father taught him of. Therefore, will you do the same, recognizing that you have nothing to offer a Righteous and Holy God which you have offended, you will humble yourself before him, Repenting of your Sin, Will you then both by Word and Deed, Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, believing in your Heart that God has raised him up from the dead. If you will do this, then even as God turned from destroying Rehoboam, so will you also be Saved. Raised up to walk in new life. Amen.

Understanding God's Word

Today's verse is Luke 24:45
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Do you know why Jesus spoke in Parables? Was is to make things clear? Or, was it to hide truths from those that did not want really to know? However, so long as you have the power to be called the Sons of God, that same Spirit that has been given to you as an Earnest of the Salvation you have received of God, that same Spirit, according to your submission to him, according to his purpose in you, will reveal unto you God’s Word in due time. So, Read God’s Word, even mediate in it Day and Night, keeping, that is heeding and doing those things which you understand, and as you continue to study those things that you do not, in due Course, according to God’s Purpose in you, He will continue to open his Scriptures to you. Be Different!

Today's verse is Jude 20-21
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

But ye, requires us to look at what came before. And what comes before is a description of those that know not God, neither wish to know God, even as Paul testified in Romans. All that they do, all that they are cry out, and are swayed only by their ungodly desires, mocking all that is holy, even as they are directed by their ungodly lusts. Therefore, “But ye,” and so are we that Know God, we that have communication with God, yea, even have communion with God are to be different. Not looking to those that know not God, and doing what is different from them, but rather looking to the One that has Saved us, seeking and finding and abiding in his ways, even his Love, obeying His Commandments, shewing our Love for him, that others may see His Love for them. So be different, that is be Holy, even as he is Holy, and so shall we bring Him Glory in an ungodly world. Amen.

A Prayer For Dark Times

Today's verse is Habakkuk 3:2
O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid:
O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years,
    In the midst of the years make known;
    In wrath remember mercy.

Let this also be your prayer today! Where are those that would say, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid. Too often we hear of the Love of God, forgetting even that God, the Holy Father, chastens those that he loves. Truly, hearing God voice, being in his presence is a fearful thing, but even after God strengthens us in that fear, forget it not. Did not Paul testify: Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. Therefore, if your eyes are open, and you see not only the need of God’s judgment upon the world of men, but also that judgment has already begun, so as we have seen here Habakkuk’s prayer, let us also pray: In wrath remember mercy. Amen.

Escaping The Wrath Of God

Today's verse is Luke 21:36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

There are those that believe that the Church of God must suffer with Israel the wrath of God, which is also known as the time of Jacob’s trouble or the Great Tribulation. Yet consider the promise above with these other promises which our God has given to his Bride, the Church. Peter after recounting several judgments God has done, took note: The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. Then also Paul speaking to the Thessalonians counseled them to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wraith to come, and again, For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. And finally, Jesus again tells the church at Philadelphia; Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. With all of these and much more, I find that the Blessed Hope, even the hope of the first Resurrection, that we that are alive, will be caught up (Raptured) with those that went before will occur before that Son of Perdition is reveled when he confirms the covenant for seven years with Israel, beginning that time known as The Great Tribulation or Jacob’s Trouble. Amen.

Through Jesus Christ We Gain Understanding.

Today's verse is 1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Herein lies a Mystery! Without Jesus Christ, we cannot understand the Father. Consider the mindset of those that know not God as described by Habakkuk: Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? /For spoiling and violence are before me: /And there are that raise up strife and contention. Truly, Habakkuk does not understand the mindset of the wicked (nor even how God could allow such to exist. Thank God for his longsuffering.) but neither do the wicked understand the mindset of righteousness. Even as the religious rulers of Jesus’ day denied his authority, charged him to answer where his authority comes from, refused to answer whether John the Baptist was of Heaven, or of men. If they had known that answer, they would have had the answer to their question as well. Do we not see the same things today? Therefore, first accept that Jesus’ Authority comes from the Father, who though him created the heaven and the earth and all the things that are therein, then he will show you, and give you understanding of the Father, that you no longer will do those things that are not convenient. Amen.

Giving The Same Love To Others, Jesus Gave To Us.

Today's verse is 1 John 4:11
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Herein is the Standard of what Love is: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Yet, God did show greater love, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. And again, For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. This is the love by which we have our example, it is by this love that we ought to love one another. When Jesus died for you, what did you have to offer him? Therefore, when you love another, is there anything that you should expect from them? When Jesus died for you, did he hold anything back? Therefore, when you love, is there anything that you should withhold? This is the example, this is the standard of the Love our God wishes that we show our neighbor, but especially our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Amen.

Are You A Child Of God?

Today's verse is 1 John 3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

So, this begs the question, Have you been given power to be called the Son of God? That is, Have you recieved the Son of God, even Jesus Christ, known also as the Word of God? Now, today, I am not going to focus on not being known of the world, but of being born of God, and putting our mind at ease, for we know that if we say we have not sinned, the truth is not in us, if we say that we have no sin, again the truth is not in us, but if we confess our sin, he is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. For as we learn later in this very chapter, that he that is born of God doth not commit sin. For we know that the Spirit of God, that dwells in us that have been made of the family of God, cannot sin. Therefore, when we sin, the Spirit that dwells within us cannot take part, and even so doth our heart condemn us, and we fear, for God is even Greater. Therefore, even by that Spirit that dwells within us, we are to strive, even unto blood if need be, by the Power of the Spirit to walk after, and by the Spirit (which no sin can be found,) and not after the flesh, (which no righteousness can be found.) So, as the Spirit wars against the flesh, and the flesh the Spirit, which one will you surrender to? Amen.

Giving God Our Best

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 2:5
And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.

A very simple principle, Our God is a Great God, even greater than any pretender, of which the fallen angels following after the deceiver aspire. But because of the Nature of our God, all that we do for him, and even all that we do (for must we not give him our all) we need to do with all of our might and to the best (yea, even more than our best, for what we do for him, have we not his promise that he will work through us?) of our ability, always and forever for his Honour and Glory. Sharing Jesus, As He Has Been Shared With Us.

Today's verse is 1 John 1:3
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Even as the Disciples learned of God, even learned of God’s Word, by living with him, and thereby have given to us their testimony, that we like them can have the same relationship that they have with the Father and the Son. So also, need we to declare what we have found of Jesus Christ as we have learned to abide in him, and he in us. Therefore, even as the Apostles of Jesus Christ, neither should we be, for if we are ashamed of him, we know that he will be ashamed of us, but if we without shame declare him to others, not only will he declare us to the Father, but we may find that we are not alone on that day that we shall stand before our Righteous Judge, accepted of Him, though His Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
