When The Gospel Will Be Presented To All At Once.

Today's Verse is Revelation 14:6
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Here are both the mercy and grace of God, but also, he takes away the last excuse. Currently God’s Word is hidden even as the Isaiah has proclaimed: Hear ye indeed, but understand not; /and see ye indeed, but perceive not, /Make the heart of this people fat, /And make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes, /Lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, /And understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. But then will God have an Angel pronounce the Good News, even as another announces the penalty for receiving the Mark of the Beast; giving all the full understanding of the consequences of their imminent choice as to whom they will serve. Today, have you made your choice? Do not delay, for you may not even see this day described here (nor should you desire it,) for God may call you even today or tomorrow to give an account of all that you have done. Are you Ready? Amen.

Is Your Name Written In the Lamb's Book Of Life?

Today's Verse is Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

What I see in this verse, is that there is coming a day, when the true choice will be made clear. For today there appears to many choices to be made to follow after many gods, where Jesus Christ is but one of many. Yet, even today of all of these choices, it really just boils down to two based upon who does the work of Redemption, who is the one that appeases the Holiness of a Righteous God? Go, and search and you will find that it is only by Jesus Christ, and him alone, that has by his death upon the Cross and his Resurrection three days later, that God himself has paid the atonement for all, but only those who confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, shall be saved. All others place some or all of the burden upon the adherent. So, are you trusting in the one that Died for you, or are you trusting in yourself? Do you know that your name is written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world? Selah [Let this question consume you!] Amen.

Have You Found Out God?

Today's Verse is Job 11:7
Canst thou by searching find out God?
Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

Truly a question often asked and in the same manner in which Zophar had asked it, expecting an answer in the negative. For truly today we see through a glass, darkly[.] But what else do we see and therefore able to understand though God’s Word? Have we not been told he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. It is true that God has hidden himself, but he has only hidden himself to those that do not wish to know him. Even as Isaiah has admonished: Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, /Call upon him while he is near[.] For he is but waiting for us to seek him, and when we do, we shall find him, for he wishes for us, Yea, all men, to know him, and when we find Jesus Christ, we will find him, even as Christ confessed: If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Therefore, I ask you, have you met my Father, yea, My God? Amen.

Enduring The Chastening Of God

Today's Verse is Job 5:18
For he maketh sore, and bindeth up:
He woundeth, and his hands make whole.

Have you ever reading The Lord hath chastened me sore: /But he hath not given me over unto death. had cause to rejoice? Having examined yourself, you Know that you are saved, but to one extent or the other you have refused to listen to God’s guidance, so you know as God chastens his Children, you have this proof you are his Child, but you wonder, How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? /How long wilt thou hide thy face from me? Well, instead of wondering, let us look at Israel and their transgression, and how God dwelt with them, and is dealing with them even now, and what his plans are for them. Here is where your theology matters. For truly God has dwelt with them harshly, and we are told for our [The Gentiles] sakes they have been blinded that we might share in their redemption, and truly their time of blindness has been long, but even now God is rebuilding them, and in due course we shall all see this fulfilled: Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it. So, as God will do with and for Israel, so will he do for you, that all may see, and all may know, that he is God! Will you trust him even in this? Amen.

Do You Know Your Purpose?

Today's Verse is Job 3:17
     There the wicked cease from troubling;
And there the weary be at rest.

Job has just had everything taken from him including his health, and his viewpoint is dim as his despair has overwhelmed him. Yet, another who is also suffering, I would say, just as much, said this: For in death there is no remembrance of thee: /In the grave who shall give thee thanks? Both men had a relationship with God, but their outlook was completely different, why? With Job, we have no information of what God had called him to do, but with David, we know that God had appointed him to be King of Israel. This appears to be the key difference; one having no purpose to live for longed for the peace of death, the other, not have completed his task sought to be restored, that that which God had called him to do, may still be done. Do you know what God wants you to do? It is not as if he doesn’t want you to know (my experience has been that I did not want to know.) Then once you know, put all your might into doing that which God has directed not forgetting to allow the Holy Ghost to do it through you. So that you can then say with Paul: For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Amen.

Do You Know That You Know That You Know You Are Saved?

Today's Verse is Malachi 3:17
And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts,
    In that day when I make up my jewels;
And I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Malachi appears to be looking not to when Jesus Christ will come to take away the sin of the world (that is, the first part, where he by the shedding of his blood on the Cross, he paid for the sin of every man) but of when he shall come to take the sinners from the world. And at such a time, he makes a sharp distinction between those that have rejected him (even those that appear to have accepted only by their lips) and those that truly fear him and have their whole focus upon him. It is of the latter this promise has been given, and giving us a glimpse of what he means when it was said, And what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints[.] Do you KNOW, and are you CERTIAN of which of these groups you are in? Selah [Let us so examine ourselves.] Amen.

Praying For God's Judgment Upon The Earth.

Today's Verse is Revelation 8:4
And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

Paul, in his first letter to Timothy had counseled him (and us) to pray for all men, that is, for their Salvation, that we might live a quiet and peaceable life. Yet here we see the evidence of another kind of prayer, even the same prayer given by those of the fifth seal, who were found under the altar, even a prayer of vengeance, sent by God upon all those who would abuse his people. As one that has lived in this modern world, having been trained to seek peace, I do not understand this mind set, yet James tells us that it is by such a prayer that Elijah asked God to make it not rain for three and a half years. So, as we pray for Christ’s Return (which he will do in Judgment) let us also pray for the redemption of those who have made themselves our enemy, for until we leave, there is still hope for the most vile of sinners to Repent, if they also will receive the Gift provided to them by Christ’s Voluntary death on the Cross, for he raised up on the Third Day that we all we who have Trusted him shall also live. Amen.

A Chief Purpose Of Why We Gather Together.

Today's Verse is Nehemiah 8:8
So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

We must understand that one of the main purposes of the Church, that is the gathering together of the Saints of God, is we might unified in the faith, even of the knowledge of the Son of God, and it is for this purpose God has given to us some, apostles; and some, prophets; [these are believed to be for the establishing of God word, of which the canon is closed] and some, pastors and teachers[.] Now we have in Nehemiah the example by which these pastors and teacher ought to use, that by God’s Word they ought to base their instruction giving the sense and enabling us to understand what God wants from us. So, when we assemble together, let us pay attention to the reading of God’s Word, and the message prepared from it, always searching the scriptures seeing whether these things are so. Amen.

Whom Should We Fear?

Today's Verse is Nehemiah 5:9
Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?

Within the last week, we have seen a man that Proclaimed the gospel of God killed because of his message, calling those that know not God to reconsider and Repent and turn onto the right way. Now, I heard one proclaim last night that because of this many that have identified themselves with Christ will be afraid to speak, nevertheless Preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God; according to John, and the parable of the Sower, were these ever known to Jesus Christ? Yet, those of us who know Jesus Christ, and are known of him; take counsel from Nehemiah, and rather than fear those that Hate God, fear God himself, and submit to the Spirit of God, and allow him to move us the Proclaim the Good News that even now, God will receive all that will Repent and Turn to the One True God, who has provided us a way to escape from the Day of the Lord, when he shall visit his wrath upon all those who have rejected his Son, bringing the full weight of their own sin upon them. Why Do We Want The Book Opened?

Today's Verse is Revelation 5:4
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

When I first read this with some understanding, both of the verse and of what was to follow, my thinking was: “Why would anyone desire to open this book and all of the terrible things that are to follow?” I do not think I was saved at the time. However, this is one of the reasons that Jesus Christ, the Lamb that taketh away the sin of the world, is worthy, because only the one that has already borne the full weight of sin, yet being sinless himself, is worthy to bring the judgment of God upon the world that has refused such a great salvation. Yet, if this book remains unopened, sin shall remain cursing the world. For this reason, let us pray that the one that is worthy to open this book does not delay, for the sooner it is opened, the sooner we shall see his return when he shall reign on the earth in Righteousness. Amen.

God's Great Commission Even Before Christ.

Today's Verse is Ezra 7:25
And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.

While before this, we see examples such as Jonah, bringing the Word, the Law of God even, to those that were not of the Children of Israel. However, here we have an express command by God’s representative - The King (even though he was not of Israel, we have learned that all rulers have been placed by God and used of him to accomplish all thing whatsoever he [God] desired.) This command is a foreshadowing of the Great Commission given to us by Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel to all nations: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto he end of the world. Do You Know And Hear God's Word?

Today's Verse is Revelation 3:22
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Did you know that Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me[.] The Mormon’s speak of a burning which tells them that their book is true, but when I read just a portion of their book, it was not the voice of Jesus, no burning, or anything else. Same with the Apocrypha and the little bit of the Quran. However, when I read my Bible, while there is no “Burning” it speaks to me that it is true, and that I can trust it, even while others bring other books, saying that it is a better version of my book, all the while those that defend that position say in other words, “Yea, hath God said!” Yet, my book not only speaks to me, but allows me to test it by two criteria: Does it lead me to the Most High God, and do the things it say will come, come to pass. Those things I can test, have all been found true. So, do you know and hear what the Spirit saith to the churches? Amen.

Caught In His Own Trap

Today's Verse is Esther 6:11
Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

Just as Haman had thought to destroy his enemy for the perceived injustice received by him, he had to honor him as he had thought Mordecai should honor himself. And such will be the end result of all that go up against God and his people. One might say, God allowed this man or that to fall, did he not belong to God? Know ye not what happened to Jesus Christ, God himself? Even when those who make themselves the enemy of God seem to prevail, their own victory will turn again against them and destroy them. Or, as in the case of Jesus Christ, be the very means of their (our) Salvation. Amen.

What Really Happened!

Today's Verse is Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Even as Jesus Christ has risen from the dead, so too will that one that was shot yesterday be raised up that he also shall return with Christ as he comes to set up his Kingdom, after he allows the world to see what happens when his restraining hand is removed for just a short while. This makes it a sad day for those who have not been washed in the Blood, for this one most likely was removed (his job finished) even as the Lord said through Isaiah: The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: /And the merciful men are taken away, none considering /That the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. This one was taken home and there is rejoicing in Heaven for this Saint that has come home, but for us here, it is but a reminder of the truism And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Are you ready? Are you willing to follow after? Selah [Do not delay your answer!] Amen.

Submitting To The Maker!

Today's Verse is Psalm 95:6
O come, let us worship and bow down:
Let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

This verse is as profound as it is simple. For as we have not made ourselves, we have not the authority do declare what is right or wrong, but we must recognize that the one that made us, even the one that created the heaven and earth, it is with him that we have to do [deal with, answer to.] Therefore, let us worship and bow down, trusting in the one that took our place, and Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, even as we will on that day when as it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Let us therefore, submit today, that we might be ready when this other day comes. Amen.

Will There Be Peace Just Before Jesus Comes?

Today's Verse is Zechariah 14:3
Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations,
As when he fought in the day of battle.

There are those that believe that Christ will not come again until this world has been made to do the will of the Father, even as it is in Heaven. Yet, as we see this verse and the context it is in, we do not see Righteousness filling the Earth, but wickedness, even to the active seeking the destruction of those that either have Identified themselves with God, or who by birth been listed as God’s People (the latter is predominate in this passage.) So, we that know Christ, let us warn others that they too may escape the Day of the Lord, instead seeing the Day of Jesus Christ, when all we that are then in Christ shall be changed, and evermore to be with the Lord. Amen.

Is There Evidence Of A Changed Life?

Today's Verse is 1 John 5:1
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

In this verse we see that the believer (active, not passive,) the one who has trusted that Jesus is the Christ [The one who died, rose up from the grave, and is coming again, as well as other things about how he came] has been born of God, [But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:] but we also see that God has done something in that person as well. In this believer, there is now the innate desire, and ability to Love those who have also trusted that Jesus is the Christ. [If a man say I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?] Has God changed you since you have believed? Amen.

When Our Mourning Is Turned To Rejoicing!

Today's Verse is Zechariah 8:19
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

The Question: Should we fast in the fifth month, which they did while Israel was in Exile. Between that question and this answer, there is a lot to be said. First, was their fasting even unto the Lord? Not directly answered. Then there is the admonishment to Execute true judgment, /And shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother. Did we not just contemplate the commandment of our Lord and Saviour yesterday? That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another? Because Israel forgot the spirit of the law, God set his Judgment upon them. Is not the world doing the same again now? Therefore, let us that Know Him, and His Word, shew forth His Love that others might see, and continue to look to the Blessed Hope when all our mourning shall be turned into Rejoicing. Amen.

Does The Spirit Of God Testify Of Your Salvation?

Today's Verse is 1 John 3:24
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

This chapter has often been a hard chapter to read, for as we have read before, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. And I confess, that unbelief, and selfishness, still manifest itself on a regular basis in my life. Yet, we have this promise as we labour to keep his commandments identified in the verse just before this one (Believing on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and loving one another, in these things there is no Sin) not by our own power, by the one that Dwells within us, and we in him, His Spirit will testify to us, of our Redemption through Jesus Christ. Do You Know This? Amen.

What You Do By God's Command, Will Not Be In Vain!

Today's Verse is Haggai 2:4
     Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD;
    And be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest;
And be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work:
For I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

When the foundation of the second temple was laid, those who had seen the first temple wept, for as we find just before this verse, they saw it as nothing in comparison of the first. Yet, God calls the leaders, and all of the people to continue to Trust God and work, to do as God has already directed them, and if they do (and they did) God will make this second temple even greater in Glory than the first. Therefore, if you know what God has commissioned you to do, do it with all your might, regardless of how successful or not it appears to be. For you can know that God is working through you and what he does, will never be in vain. Amen.

The Correct Response To The Wrong Fears.

Today's Verse is Ezra 3:3
And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.

In the past, I have said, that if we fear God, we need not to fear anything else: of this I do not think I repent. Yet, from this verse, and others, we must recognize that such fears exist, and we must determine even now, how we should respond to them. These that have returned to Jerusalem, responded by seeking out the Lord anyway, determining by his Word, which he had given them, how they should proceed, and despite their fear of the people of the countries about them, they proceeded to do as the Lord commanded them. Will you do the same? Amen.

As God Said, So It Was Done!

Today's Verse is Ezra 1:1
NOW in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying,

Of this we can be sure, one of the Major reasons God has given us the Bible, God’s Word, is so that we can Learn of Him, and Know that he is, and is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Today’s passage is sure to have been written for this purpose, pointing out the time frame Jeremiah had foretold, yet leaving out what God had told Isaiah, naming Cyrus, a King of Persia, as the one that would begin to send God’s People back to their land, to rebuild both the temple and Jerusalem, some 100 years even before Jerusalem had fallen. All of this God said would happen, and as he had said, so it was done. So, what will you do with this? Will you take God at his Word? Or, as so many others have done, will you yet again reject him, choosing rather to accept a lie, than believe the Truth that God Loves you, and has made a way for you to escape The Judgment? Amen.
