Do You Tremble At God's Word?

Today's Verse is Isaiah 66:2
     For all those things hath mine hand made,
      And all those things have been, saith the LORD:
      But to this man will I look,
      Even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit,
      And trembleth at my word.

    If you look at the context of this verse, you will find those that having known God and his word instead of trembling at them and seeking to understand and obey, they have wrested them unto their own ends, comforting themselves in their own delusions, not knowing that the Lord God, Creator of all that is, is looking on and biding his time that those that will may come to him. Know you not that Paul in considering the Judgment of the Redeemed Challenged: Knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men[?] You that have ears to hear, let us examine ourselves as we read God’s Word with Fear and Trembling that we might come out of the furnace refined and purified unto the glory of God. Amen.

Arise, Shine!

Today's Verse is Isaiah 60:2
     For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
      And gross darkness the people:
      But the LORD shall arise upon thee,
      And his glory shall be seen upon thee.

    In focusing on the “For, behold” we must first consider who the “thee” is. At this time, I do not believe it refers to Christ, but rather to his people, God’s chosen people: Israel. So, to the “behold,” this is referring to the darkness, even the gross darkness that is to come, which, I believe is none other than that time of Great Trouble, even Jacob’s Trouble, the great tribulation. And so now we discuss the “For.” Arise, shine; for thy light is come, /And the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. When God sends his wrath upon the world, we see here that he calls his people Israel to rise up and give (yea, be) a testimony unto the Glory of God during that darkest of times. Yet, even as they have been called, so are we that have partaken of the sufferings of Christ for the forgiveness of our sins bear the responsibility to testify of his Glory, that the whole world may know of his Grace and Mercy, even in the midst of his Wrath. Amen.

A Reason For Compassion?

Today's Verse is Isaiah 57:20-21
     But the wicked are like the troubled sea,
      When it cannot rest,
      Whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
     There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

    Why is there no peace to the wicked? It is because they have no hope. They have trapped themselves into their misery, because they have rejected the one that is able, even willing to deliver them from their turmoil because they refuse to see his goodness as they tremble in their fear because of their ungodly ways, not knowing that God can be feared because he forgives. Therefore, let us that have learned the fear of the Lord is clean be ready to testify with compassion, even using their fear and possibly pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Amen.

The Full Scope Of Christ On Earth.

Today's Verse is Isaiah 53:10
     Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief:
      When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin,
      He shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days,
      And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

    In this verse we see both the Suffering of the Saviour and the promise of his return and Reign upon this world of which will be long, Yea, in another place that wicked one shall be bound up for a thousand years, then after he has had his season, and Judgment has been passed and death has been abolished, still Christ shall reign, and his seed, those of us who have been redeemed by his grief he shall see, which we find in an other place (the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints) something that he had counts a great treasure. What other treasures can you find from this passage, for I believe I have barely scraped the surface. Amen.

Profitable For Doctrine

Today's Verse is Isaiah 49:1
     Listen, O isles, unto me;
      And hearken, ye people, from far;
      The LORD hath called me from the womb;
      From the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

    How important this doctrine is, I cannot say, yet we have two verses that speak to it. More than once I have heard that when Christ submitted himself to be born of human flesh, yet without sin, that he even gave up the knowledge that he was God for a time. Yet by the verse above and the testimony David gave for Jesus in that famous Psalm that starts My God, my God. . . we learn But thou art he that took me out of the womb: /Thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. Therefore, as Jesus Christ has never forgotten his purpose, as he is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, nether will be forget those that are his at any time. Therefore, ye that know Christ, better that are known of him, rest in this that he knows you and your plight even now and for this cause we should not faint nor grow weary in well doing, for our labours are not in vain in the Lord. Amen.

How To Choose The Right Side!

Today's Verse is Isaiah 45:25
In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

    As I am reading everything in Isaiah after God had pronounced Judgment against Hezekiah and Judah saying, Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which they fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the Lord. . . All that has been said has been to this end we find in the verse above. So, in the midst of the controversy we currently find ourselves in let us that have been Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb stand fast in the promises God has not only given us, but to his beloved and chosen People: Israel, Lest we find ourselves the negative recipient of this promise: Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. Will You Hear God's Witness?

Today's Verse is Isaiah 41:1
     Keep silence before me, O islands;
      And let the people renew their strength:
      Let them come near; then let them speak:
      Let us come near together to judgment.

    O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! Even as God has judged Israel and scattered them to the ends of the world, he used this to his end, even bolstering his testimony to the nations beyond the heavens declaring the Glory of God and the firmament his handy work, he has sent his people in their disobedience unto the nations, even as he used Jonah to testify to the mariners, so has he used Israel to give us all a testimony of his Love and Judgment. Therefore, as we see, let us also observe, having our ears opened, let us hear. For not only has Israel’s Redeemer come, but he has included us Gentiles as well. Will you humble yourself today and repent and receive that So Great a Salvation that has been provided for all of us? Amen.

Why We Keep Our Sight On The Blessed Hope.

Today's Verse is Isaiah 40:10
      Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand,
      And his arm shall rule for him:
      Behold, his reward is with him,
      And his work before him.

    Through Isaiah to Hezekiah God has announced that God’s People Israel (even Judah) will be judged and that judgment will be harsh, yet here, those that are faithful have been given a Blessed Hope, even the coming of their King, even that stone that was cut out without hands (which we later learn from Daniel.) Such is the Hope of Israel, God’s chosen people. Yet, we that Know Christ, even as we share in this Hope, we have our own Hope, for we seek that Day when Jesus Christ will come for his own, even his Bride, and sit with him at the Wedding Feast before he Returns as the King promised to his Chosen People Israel. As Abraham looked for a City which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God[,] So do we all have a Blessed Hope as we toil under the curse placed upon this world because of sin, even our sin. Amen.

The Real Issue

Today's Verse is Isaiah 37:23
     Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed?
      And against whom hast thou exalted thy voice,
      And lifted up thine eyes on high?
      Even against the Holy One of Israel.

    It is prudent to know what the true issue is. For the rage that we see today is not against this leader or that, but what does God say, and how can “they” oppose it. The amazing thing is, is that many of them are so blinded, they do not even know what they oppose. Therefore, this is where we come in, for the God we follow by the Blood of Christ has made us both salt and light. For when we both speak his Word and walk according to his precepts, God is able to work through us to open their eyes, and failing that, giving them no excuse when they must face the Judge and all secrets shall be made known according to the gospel. Amen.

When God Is Silent, Beware!

Today's Verse is 2 Chronicles 32:31
Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

    I have been reflecting and considering and even questioning about the times that God is silent, about those times when it appears that we have no guidance from him. Here we find one of those times. Hezekiah, we have learned was devoted to his God, yet at a time when Hezekiah was lifted up of himself God allowed him to walk the path that he set for himself as we learn here to prove him. That is, to show Hezekiah his own heart. So, even as David often sought the counsel of the Lord, the few times he did not were the times that he got himself into his greatest troubles; therefore, let us take heed when we think we stand, for then has it been said that we should fall. Amen.

Does God Know You?

Today's Verse is 1 Corinthians 8:3
But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

    A very simple statement, and very profound; yet, when we say that we love God, do we mean that we have warm thoughts toward him but otherwise reject his counsel? Do you know that the word “love” is an action word, and to truly love one must act, for true love can be seen by all. Did not Christ teach us: If ye love me, keep my commandments[?] Therefore, as we love God, let us submit ourselves to his Spirit that dwells within us that we may obey his Word, and others may see the God that loves them through us. Amen.

Courage Alone Is Not Enough!

Today's Verse is 2 Chronicles 28:6
For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one day, which were all valiant men; because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.

    Take note, it was not that the men of Judah lacked courage, nor did they lack determination that they lost, but because they have forsaken the Lord God. The promise that we have from God is conditional for we have been commanded: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. These men were strong, and they possessed courage (but not good courage) but because they believed not the one God had sent, they were defeated! Therefore, let us take heed, and prepare the way of the Lord in our hearts, and make his paths straight that we might have the good success promised to those that observe all things commanded in the word of God, starting with accepting the gift of his Salvation by which we can have a hope of working it out that others may see. Amen.

Remembering The Price That Was Paid!

Today's Verse is 1 Corinthians 6:20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

    In this world, as it currently is, it is not hard to find perversion in any direction one looks, and chastity is hard it find. Yet, truly we that have been redeemed have been bought with a price, more than we can ever repay. Therefore, let us surrender to the Spirit the Lord of Righteousness has given us, purifying ourselves even as he is pure that our neighbour may also be convinced of sin, and the forgiveness available through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

Letting God Do His Work

Today's Verse is Isaiah 30:9
     That this is a rebellious people, lying children,
      Children that will not hear the law of the LORD:

    And of such we have God’s word through Paul: What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction[.] But even so, God further pleads, For thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel; /In returning and rest shall ye be saved; /In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: /And ye would not. (Emphasis mine.) From what I have read and understood, in time of Jacob’s Trouble, God will no longer be mitigating the sin of those that reject him and thus will no longer be hiding his presence upon the Earth, and yet, in those rejecting him will deny the undeniable and believe the lie. Yet even among these God will have his remnant, those that seemed as these spoken above, yet still repent and receive the Salvation that God has made available to all. So let us faint not in well doing. Amen.

For Whom Have You Opened The Gates?

Today's Verse is Isaiah 26:2
     Open ye the gates,
      That the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

    Monday morning (9 Jun 25) I had woken up thinking of how when Christ Returns as the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords, that he will make President Trump look like President Biden in comparison (having not heard of what was happening in L.A. over the weekend.) My first look at what had happened was the opposition blaming Trump for bringing in the guard, ignoring the devastation caused by those who hold no allegiance to my country. So will be the coming of the Day of the Lord when Christ will come to set up his kingdom on the earth, who on that day By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation[.] Pay attention to that final phrase for still he is reaching out to us; therefore, Open ye the gates, not to the invader, but to the King of Glory, so that that righteous nation can reside in your heart by the truth that is God. Amen.

God's Building, Will You Share In The Fruits?

Today's Verse is 1 Corinthians 3:9
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

    While it is undeniable that this verse is written to the redeemed, here is a mystery: I believe it applies to the lost as well. For truly God works in all to accomplish his purpose, and each of us, saved or lost, have a purpose for which he will accomplish through us. Now, the lost having no foundation also lack the better building materials, so all of their works shall be burned up and they shall be found lacking in their day of Judgment. However, those that have been Redeemed by the blood of the lamb of God, slain from the foundation of the world having a firm foundation still has the opportunity to choose the materials for which he should build with, yet the purpose of God shall still be fulfilled. Therefore, let us take heed by how we walk, seeking diligently to walk by faith in the Spirit of the Living God that we might have something to return to our Saviour when we shall appear before him to receive of the things that we have wrought. Amen.

How To Understand God!

Today's Verse is 1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

    Do you have trouble understanding the simplest things found in the Word of God? Do you read the scriptures finding only reasons to quibble? Then examine yourself, and you will find as Paul also has testified: that you hold the truth in unrighteousness as others have interpreted as suppress the truth. You do not understand, because you have already determined that you have no desire to know God, nor give him the Glory he is due! Therefore, Repent, and count God as God and that he is not accountable to you, but you to Him, and as you begin to Diligently seek him, he shall present himself to you and to show you great and mighty things out of His Word that you could not see before, as you are ready to receive them. Fulfilled!

Today's Verse is Isaiah 18:7
     In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts
      Of a people scattered and peeled,
      And from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto;
      A nation meted out and trodden under foot,
      Whose land the rivers have spoiled,
      To the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.

    Let us Glory, and Praise the God that keeps his Word, telling us the End from the Beginning! Almost 3 thousand years ago Isaiah recorded [written] this account, and during the second great war till the founding of the current state of Israel in the year of our Lord 1948 has this been fulfilled. By this, and other accounts that have also come to pass, we can be sure that God will do all that he has said, however he has said it until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts. Amen.

Assuring Words

Today's Verse is Matthew 28:7
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

    . . . lo, I have told you. Words of comfort and assurance and confirmation! Confirming that which would seem impossible, though God had promised it time and again, not only in his Word: Neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption, but more than once did Jesus himself speak of his death and his resurrection which has now been accomplished, and it is now time for those that have trusted him should know. Therefore, let us also who have heard, and accepted this truth, that our Saviour Jesus Christ has risen from the dead having died once for sin, is now seated at the right hand of the father until he returns to receive his own before that terrible Day of The Lord. Amen.

What Jesus Has Done!

Today's Verse is Isaiah 11:10
     And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse,
      Which shall stand for an ensign of the people;
      To it shall the Gentiles seek:
      And his rest shall be glorious.

    Just take a moment, and consider, wonder even at how this verse has been fulfilled except in part that last phrase: “And his rest shall be glorious.” For the Son of David has come (the root of Jesse, consider how this can be) and the Cross upon which he died for us is a standard for all that believe in and on him most of which currently are Gentiles, for which we are all waiting for that day when he shall call his own home before he comes to show himself to his own people which he had chosen out of all the earth for his Name’s sake. Then shall we see that glorious rest when he shall reign forevermore. Amen.

Seeing The Light

Today's Verse is Isaiah 8:20
     To the law and to the testimony:
      If they speak not according to this word,
      It is because there is no light in them.

    Have you heard of that time that was called “The Dark Ages?” If you search it out, you will discover that those that named the name of Christ (but in vain) did not read God’s Word the Bible, neither did they allow any other to read it, that they might keep the people in ignorance. Yet, we have this promise of God: I have more understanding than all my teachers: /For thy testimonies are my meditation. Therefore, that we my walk in the light, let us seek out the True Word of God, (for there are many false prophets, and pastors that scatter.) And as we walk according to God’s testimonies, the Light of Jesus Christ will shine forth and many will see it, and comprehend, and come to the ONE that shewed his Love upon the Cross. Amen.
