Even At The Darkest, God's Word Will Prevail!

Today's verse is Genesis 37:20
Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

Out of these wicked machinations we see God moving to fulfill that which he had promised Joseph. Joseph’s brothers full of hate, born of envy, because of the love Jacob gave him, even the apparent favor that God was also giving him (did not his dreams that he would rule over them, speak of the Favor God had for him?) Yet, God’s word stands firm, and what God had promised, even through their wickedness, is being brought about in their attempt to forestall it. Therefore consider these testimonies of God’s Word: The words of the Lord are pure words: /As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. /Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, /Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. And again: More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: /Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. And Finally: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Selah [Consider these and act accordingly.] Amen.

When Dark Times Come

Today's verse is Genesis 32:9
And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:

Just as Jacob faced here, there are going to be times as you walk with the Lord when dark times will come. In such times, even as Jacob does here, remember the promise, or promises God has made you, and like it has been throughout the scriptures, what God has said, God will do! What God has said, will come to pass. Even if all seems opposed, and there seems to be no way, God will make it so. So, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. Amen.

When There Appears To Be No Foundation

Today's verse is Psalm 11:3
     If the foundations be destroyed,
      What can the righteous do?

In this day, in my nation, yea, throughout the western world, the loudest voices have forgotten God, even denied him, and his ways, having, as he has said, given themselves over to all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful. So, we have the answer of what happens when the foundations are destroyed. But of the righteous, what can they do? Even take refuge in the one that sees, even as we have this promise in the next verse: the Lord is in his temple, /The lord’s throne is in heaven: /His eyes behold, /His eyelids try, the children of men. What can the righteous do? They can Stand, and having done all, To Stand! For God is still on the Throne, and we all must still give an account unto him. Therefore, let us not be ashamed of him, that he is not ashamed of us, as we seek for the Son to be our Advocate when we stand before the Father, the Righteous Judge. Amen.

The Blessing Passed On

Today's verse is Genesis 28:4
And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.

It is here that the blessing is fully passed unto Jacob, later to be called Israel. It is here, before even Jacob was truly converted that he received the promise. It was here that Jacob was lifted up over Esau his brother, even though he was being sent away. And in receiving this promise, Jacob responds and makes a deal with God, and though it took 21 years for it to be fully fulfilled, both kept the bargain. Have you yet learned what God has for you? What he plans for you, what he wishes to accomplish through you? Having learned that he is, will you diligently seek him, and to do all that he asks. If so, know that he has set a reward for you that you cannot comprehend, and though the way may seem hard, even as Jacob had no easy sojourn in Padan-aram, and after, he became the father of God’s chosen People, by whom the Saviour came. Will you come and see what God has for you. Amen.

An Amazing Testimony

Today's verse is Genesis 26:5
Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

The law has not yet been given to Moses; how could Abraham have kept it? Do you not know that God is unchanging? Has not Paul told us that of the fruits of the Spirit, against such there is no law. Has not Peter told us that we receive God’s power, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue? But if you doubt that, God told Abraham to go to a land he did not know: He did. God told him to sacrifice his son: He obeyed. We know that Abraham walked with God, he communed with him, and as he did, he learned what pleased him and what did not, and he conformed his life to be pleasing to the One that promised to bless him, and Abraham was blessed. God has sought you, and he having been lifted up, draws you unto him. Will you, therefore, diligently seek the one that will reward you far above what you can ask or think? Will you with Moses, choose rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season? Even as he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. Amen.

An Example Of God's Lovingkindness.

Today's Verse is Mark 9:23
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

A very important question, what is it that Jesus is asking the father of this child to believe? Yesterday, we looked at God’s lovingkindness, even God’s willingness to forgive any and all that would come and call upon the Lord in their distress. And he delivered them out of their distresses. Is this not what this father is asking of the Lord? Are you troubled? Have your own ways led you into stress on every side, where you think there is no way out? Come now and see, seek the Lord now while he may be found, and take him at his Word, and follow the counsel of Solomon: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding (seek out God’s Word), In all thy ways acknowledge him, (again know his Word) and he shall direct thy paths. (Again, by his Word.) And when you have called, when you have believed, when you have begun to live by God’s Word, you also will Praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Amen.

What Is The Lovingkindness Of God?

Today's verse is Psalm 107:43
Whoso is wise, and will observe these things,
Even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

For a little while now, I have been considering the question, “What is Kindness?” In this Psalm we see man, led by his lust fall into trouble by various means, yet when he comes to himself and calls upon the Lord, so the Lord delivers him out of all his distresses. This is the loving Kindness of God. That he is ready to forgive, any and all that will come to him, to seek him, knowing that they have no power to save themselves. Therefore, as I currently see it, Kindness is the willingness to forgive those that are seeking repentance from their sinful and wicked ways, however they, in the past, have offended. Are you, having known God’s kindness, willing to do the same for others? Amen.

Be Not Surprised By The Rejection Of The Ungodly

Today's verse is Genesis 19:9
And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.

Did you notice at the beginning of this narrative, that Lot sat in the gate of Sodom? Understanding the custom of the time and place, the gate was where business was done, and judgments passed. Lot had indeed been made a judge in Sodom. However, when men are set about to do whatsoever they desire, consumed by their lusts, none of us are prone to listen to the warnings of others, specially when we have refused to fear God. Therefore, when, because you have believed, you speak, even as Lot indirectly did here, do not be surprised that your counsel is rejected and rebuffed, but count that also not as an excuse to warn. For we that have been made the Sons of God, and Ambassadors, are also set as watchmen to warn of the impending danger, even the Judgment that God has set for a disobedient people whose sin has become full. Sodom did not hear, and it is no more, but when Jonah was sent to Nineveh, did not they not only hear, but also repent? So, obey the command with promise, Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart, and speak up. Amen.

Don't Confuse The Sign, As What Is Necessary.

Today's verse is Genesis 17:25
And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

It has been shown me, and now I declare it to you, many confuse the ordinance which testifies of the work God has done for them as a necessary act on their part for that work to be fulfilled. But as Paul had said of Stewardship, yet am I not hereby justified. For even before Ishmael was conceived, it was said of Abram, now Abraham, that he believed God, and that was counted unto him for righteousness, making it clear that the circumcision was not what saved Abraham, but as we are told later, that circumcision was a sign as a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised. All of these things are important, being baptized, testifying of the work Christ has done in you, yea, even being a good steward, even to the point of that if they are absent, a reason for serious concern, but none of them are what saves, but a sign of what Jesus Christ has done in you when you believed, Confessed that he is Lord, and believed in thy heart that God has raised him from the dead, that your sins might (will) be forgiven. Amen.

Don't Force

Today's verse is Genesis 14:24
Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

When I first noticed this verse, I took note of the fact that Abram did not force his convictions upon his neighbors, those men that had helped him retrieve Lot, and those that were with him. Let us, therefore, learn from this. There will be times that we must allow others to make their own decisions, and live or die by them, for each of us will have to give an answer to the God of Heaven who created us, and doing the right thing for the wrong reason will not save them, nor us. So, think right, live right, speak right, and God will see to it that those about us notice and be affected by our actions. Amen.

Why God Hides

Today's verse is Mark 4:12
That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

One might ask, If God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, why then does he hide the truth as he has stated here? Know now, that God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him, but those that wish to know him not, he gives them their desire, and all the troubles that come with it. But since Christ was lifted up, we have this promise that he will draw all men unto him, since no man can come to the Lord unless the Spirit draws him. Therefore, if you know such a one that is currently blinded by his own desires, pray for him, that his eyes may be opened and have the opportunity to choose life over death, and joy over hidden misery. But as the choice was yours, so is their choice theirs. Amen.

Seeing God In Creation

Today's verse is Psalm 104:33
I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

In this Psalm, the psalmist remembers creation, the work of God’s hand. He remembers the remnants of the flood, and the restoration of the earth afterwards. He considers the bounty that God has given, and the labours required to obtain them. In all that is about him in the earth he sees the loving hand of God that has given in abundance for all that are willing to labour for its riches. And finally at the end, he makes a request that those that have rebelled, that have allowed themselves to be identified as sinners (are we not all) be consumed out of the earth. Let us, therefore, also make our meditation of him sweet: and be glad in the Lord. Amen.

Something To Look Forward For.

Today's verse is Mark 2:22
And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

.    This passage has been a mystery to me, but as I was reading it today, I believe the Spirit brought to mind the work God, even the Holy Ghost, does in the believer. First, while the old bottles persist, we have the promise of God by Paul, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. However, even Paul also testified: If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then if is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. . .O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Now I have found that our God shows us the need before he provides the answer, so now we wait for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Therefore, we now groan, as the new wars with the old (which we are to reckon dead) till we (actually God for us) put off the corruption, to be raised in incorruption. O, what a blessed hope. Amen.

Without Excuse

Today's verse is Ps 19:3
There is no speech nor language,
Where their voice is not heard.

In another place we are told Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. In the course of my studies I have found that indeed God has left his fingerprints though out Creation, so that if any cares to look, and diligently searches, they can and will easily find that there is a God to be known. However, I do not study these things to convince those that do not wish to know, for only God can do that, but I study it that I can be encouraged, and that I can marvel, and that I can share with those that also know him that they also can be encouraged and marvel at the things God has done. But this is not all that God has done that we might know him. For he has given us his Word, that we might know what he requires of us, and how we might have a relationship with him, even through Jesus Christ. Will you seek him today? Amen.

A Coming Dreadful Day For Some!

Today's verse is Malachi 4:1
           For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven;
And all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble:
And the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts,
That it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

We that know God’s Word know what he has planned, we know that he has set aside a time that those that have refused him will get their desire for a season, even a shortened one, for nothing would remain if he gave them the seventy years Israel was exiled. As we understand, and have cause to rejoice for the above promise, we know that God will give them a chance to fight, that all may know the futility of fighting God. And still our neighbors will do it a second time. Therefore, even as Paul cried out: O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? But he cried already knowing the answer, for Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; (and Paul says) Of whom I am chief. If God was willing to save the chief of sinners, is he not willing to save you, or even me? Let us not, therefore, find that we are found among the proud on the day described above. Amen.

How To Return To The Lord.

Today's verse is Malachi 3:7
Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them.
Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

Wherein shall we return? When we do not diligently seek the Lord God, it is very easy to be deceived to believing that we have nothing to fear of eternal judgment, even as Paul tells us: Their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another[.] If we are comparing ourselves one against another, we can alway come up on top. But, if we compare ourselves against the Standard of God’s Word, we can only find like Paul, not having already attained, neither being perfect, but he follows after, as he says, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, Return unto Christ, seek him out by his Word, find out what he requires of us and do it. We have here his promise that if we do that, He will return to us, restoring us, even as he will one day restore Israel to their Glory in him. Therefore, as we seek his Return to call his own home before he sets up his Kingdom, let us purify ourselves even as he is pure. Amen.

A Warning To My Nation (Let Others Also Take Heed)

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 34:21
Go, inquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.

Let me put this on record. This is my opinion based upon what I understand of Eschatology, it is not “Thus sayeth the Lord,” but as Paul had said, I think also that I have the Spirit of God. Since 2016, I have believed that if the Candidate of a particular party were to win the election, My Nation, even the United States would not see its two hundred and fiftieth birthday. The same was true of the 2020 election, and it would appear that candidate has done everything to fulfill my prediction. And now that choice is once again upon us. Both parties say that they will be the ones to save the Nation, and the other will destroy it; I believe that with one, truly it will destroy, even as they have already forsaken our Covenant, even the Constitution. However, the with the other we do have a chance, but even so, that is not sufficient. For unless we repent, and turn back to God and his Word, neither can, nor will redeem us. Even if but for a short time. So, now consider what God told Malachi, Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? /When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, /And he delighteth in them; /Or, Where is the God of Judgment? Truly if we do not repent, and diligently seek out the Will of the Creator, we shall find out. Selah [Can you discern which is which?] Amen.

God's Longsuffering, Mercy and Wrath.

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 33:7
And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

Have you read of what happened to the Idol of Dagon when the Ark of the Covenant was placed in his temple? And yet when another idol was brought into his own house, he did nothing so immediate. For his mercy endureth for ever. Instead, because his people, which are called by his Name, so rejected him, he set in motion that time that is known as the time of the Gentiles. For his mercy endureth for ever. And now, even as he had told Malachi: For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same /My name shall be great among the Gentiles; /And in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: /For my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts. And so has it been for near the last two thousand years until now. For his mercy endureth for ever. But now consider the warning that Paul gave; Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. For his mercy endureth for ever. In that same passage (and others,) we have God’s promise that he will restore a remnant of his People. We also find that he will also save a remnant of the Gentiles. For his mercy endureth for ever. Truly God is a Jealous God. Will you provoke his Wrath, or will you accept his Mercy? Amen.

Knowing The Price Of Challenging God.

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 32:16
And his servants spake yet more against the LORD God, and against his servant Hezekiah.

Here is a dangerous thing to do. To openly, or even secretly in your heart to oppose the Lord God, that created Heaven and Earth, and any that he has declared his servant. Just consider David, he feared not the giant, because he perceived the challenge he gave was against not Israel, but against God who had claimed Israel. David also refused to raise his hand against Saul, because Saul had been chosen of God to be King, even though David had also been so chosen of God. Therefore, fear to challenge God, for if he chooses to accept, the price will be high, if not utter destruction as the Pharaoh of Egypt in Moses’ day, Sennacherib of Assyria, and Herod (as he was eaten by worms) discovered. Amen.

The Mind Of The Blinded.

Today's verse is John 16:3
And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

In this age, and even in the next to come, we must remember the mindset of those that know not Jesus Christ. For having currently rejected God, not wanting to retain him in their knowledge, God has given them over to do those things which are not convenient. For this we must have compassion on them, for we that are Christ’s know that since he was lifted up (the Cross) the Spirit draws all men to him. Therefore, we must remember that he is not willing that any should perish, even as he has reserved the wicked to the day of destruction. Therefore, even as you believe, so speak. Who knows, may hap, if they hear, instead of our words making their condemnation known. They will instead Repent, and we shall be unto them the savour of life unto life. Selah [Will you Speak?] Amen.

Revealed Sin

Today's verse is John 15:22
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

We see here a mystery. If Christ had not come, those that had rejected him, even killed him, would not have sinned, but now their sin has been revealed, and cannot be hid. We have learned from Paul, that those that have not the scriptures, even the bible, are without excuse, for God has shown himself through his creation, and those that know not the law, will be judged by their own conscience and will be found guilty, for there is none righteous, no not one. Yet, if Christ had not come, If Jesus had not willingly died upon the cross, we would all be yet in our sins, and condemned, for there would be no price sufficient for our iniquity. If you find in you a sinned revealed, rail not against the Father, neither the Son, for now that you know, you can now confess, and if you confess, have we not been promised that God will forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness? To See God Work Suddenly

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 29:36
And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly.

Just as a thief comes in unexpectedly, so when the appointed time comes, that which the Lord had promised comes suddenly, and suddenly changes are made. As we see here, the same can be said, if we that know Jesus Christ repent of our complacency, choosing rather to be of good courage because we choose to believe the promises God has made us. Therefore, let us, having put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Truly the days we currently face are evil, but God is still on the throne, therefore, let us remember that [f]or whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. But how shall they know to take our life, if we remain silent? Selah [Will you Stand?] Amen.

Complete Or Incomplete Repentance?

Today's verse is 2 Chronicles 28:13
And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.

Do you know what the sin of the Northern Kingdom of Israel was? Was it not even the false worship in the place that God had not chosen, and the worship of Idols even against what he had commanded them? Yet, when they were faced with a choice, even though the greater sin was acknowledged, they only repented of those things great as they are, the lesser. It was only a short time after this that the Northern Kingdom of Israel was taken away captive. How can we learn from this? Will we knowing how we seek God not after his way, but our own, will we turn to him with a true heart, or will we clean only the outside, stubbornly holding on to that which we think we created? If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not with us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let us therefore, come to God humbly, according to the way he has directed, and when we do, as he has promised, he will cleanse not only the heart, but the outward appearance as well. Amen.
