Today's verse is Psalm 70:5
But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God:
Thou art my help and my deliverer;
O LORD, make no tarrying.
Throughout scripture we are commanded to wait, or to be patient, for the Lord our God knows the perfect time. We also see this in scripture. Did not Mordecai wait 12 years to be honored for saving the king, that his life might be spared Haman’s wrath? Yet, this psalm is dedicated to asking the Lord to hurry, to not tarry. So, if you are waiting for a time that the Lord your God has promised you, we have his permission here, to remind him that our time is short, for today we are here, but tomorrow, or the next day, we shall be gone. So, Lord, do that thing you have promised, that we might give you the Glory in the land of the living. Amen.
To God be the Glory
