Today's verse is Psalm 146:5
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the LORD his God:
Today, in Judges, I read of those who could have helped, but did not, complain as the Hero God had chosen won the battle against the evil ones. They themselves were found to be against the very God they claimed to have served, and suffered for it! Is there evil happening about you? Do those that are charged to punish it do nothing? Or, even worse, give their aid to such a cause? Remember, who it is that should be our Hope! And when all others fail us, who shall be our Help! Fear not those that in their evil stand against the Lord, the God of Heaven and Earth. Instead, fear God, and fail not to stand with and for him, and seek his way, for he will deliver those that are his, and in due course will destroy all that oppose him. Where will you be found, on that day? Amen.
To God be the Glory
Scott
