Who Is The Servant?

Today's verse is Luke 17:10
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

Have we even done that? Have we done anything remotely close to that which has been commanded of us? Yet, we demand of God this or that, thinking that it is he that owes us. Why does he? Have we fulfilled our purpose? Have we done those things that are Good? Have we not instead, called evil, good, and done that instead? Throughout the scriptures we see how this Righteous and Holy God desires to give to those that seek him good things, yet, instead they, yea, even we continually turn against him, and rail against him, for giving us only a small portion of what we truly deserve, Total Destruction. So, let us truly take inventory, and see the good things that God has given us, and give thanks for them, for we truly did not deserve them, and turn to this Great God, who gave his Son, who paid for our sins, and repent, receiving the gift he has given us, and find that has we serve him, his burden is truly light, and in him we can and shall have Rest. Amen.
