Today's verse is Luke 10:16
He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
As I read this verse, (this time) I thought not of the rejection that I might experience, but of how such would be rejected of God, and that God takes no pleasure in the death of the Wicked, but of the Righteous. It is true that the wicked despise those that name the name of God, because their deeds are wicked, and they joy in that. But God, has compassion on them, as he did for us -- For did he not die in our place when we hated him as well? So, even as you wipe the dust off of your feet, pray for them--unless forbidden of God-- for there may be one, perhaps two that may repent before their judgment is sealed. Amen.
