Today's verse is Judges 8:6
And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army?
Ages ago when I first read this and Gideon's reply, my thought was, “This is harsh!” Yet, now, I know it is not. These princes did not help because they feared these two kings. They did not help because they were in some way in league with them. Did they not already hear, how Gideon and his men had won the first battle, giving the victory to Ephraim? Open your eyes, do you see the wickedness about you? Who are its authors? Take care in your choice and choose wisely, but chose Today! For God’s power is already known and the stage is set. He will deliver his own in due course, and rain down Judgement upon all that reject his way. Which side do you want to be on? Amen.
To God be the Glory
