Where Does Pleasure Come From?

Today's verse is Psalm 16:11
     Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
      In thy presence is fulness of joy;
      At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

    How often has it been said, “I do not want to turn to God, for then I would have to give up such and such a pleasure?” To these same, we can say, “You do not know even half of what you are missing!” Ask yourself, who is it that created the very possibility for these pleasures? Did the wicked one sneak in and create something greater than the God that made all? No! He corrupted those things that God hath make! So, Repent now. Suffer whatever withdraw you must suffer, and Trust in the Lord your God who loved you (and continues to love you) enough to take your place, and suffer all that you deserve, that you might have access to him, and all that he has for you. Not only on the other side, but now also here, as his purpose permits. Amen.
