The Evidence Of Rahab's Belief

 

Today's verse is Joshua 2:21

And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window. 

    What is the sign that you believe? Rahab had this scarlet line, which was displayed prominently in the window. How many do you think were able to discern the meaning of that line? Nor was that line there for but a day or two, but for over a week, and possibly two. Yet, while Rahab kept silent (did she not agree to that) there was that scarlet line, giving testimony to all that saw it, what she believed. What is there about you, (not what you wear, but how you conduct yourself) that allows others to know that you belong to the one that died for you? Let us not in this day that we see the Judgment of God evident in this world, be ashamed of the one that Judges, that he be not ashamed of us, when he is finished. Amen.
