Today's verse is Luke 4:32
And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
You might say, but this was Jesus, who, himself, was the very Word of God! But did not God through Peter command, “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God.” Whatever Jesus did, he did by the power of the Holy Spirit. That same Spirit which he has given us, who have committed our souls to him, by his death and resurrection. So read God’s Word, trusting your Savior, Study it, test your understanding, and when you by the Spirit know that you understand what God has said, Proclaim it boldly, that others might hear; Repent and/or Rejoice at the promises of God. Amen.
