Seeking Unity

Today's verse is Joshua 22:26-27
Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice:
But that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in the LORD.

In this day when many preach division, let us that fear the Lord our God, remember those things that need to unite us. Does your Neighbor name the Name of God the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each of whom had his part in Creating all that is? Does your Neighbor, claim to have been forgiven, having been washed in the Blood of the Lamb of God, who was given up for the sins of the World, and raised again that all that trust in him might have new life, and that more abundantly? Then call him a brother. But what of the others? Remember the commandments of the Lord, and know this command: “Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.” Therefore, be always ready to proclaim the Good News, That Jesus Christ came to forgive the sinner, but one day he will come to destroy the sin, and all that refuse to forsake it. Where will you be found on that day? Amen.
