Seeking And Receiving God's Direction

 

Today's verse is 2 Samuel 2:1

And it came to pass after this, that David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the LORD said unto him, Go up. And David said, Whither shall I go up? And he said, Unto Hebron. 

    Once David was ready to act, the first thing he did was to seek council and direction from the Lord his God. And he received it! His son Solomon admonishes us to Trust the Lord with all of our heart, and to acknowledge him in all we do. If we do this we are promised that God will give us direction. Do you know the direction God would have you go? Have you sought it from him? If he has not answered, then wait for an answer, but once you have that answer, do not delay, but immediately endeavor to fulfill what he has commanded you. Amen.
