Today's verse is 1 Samuel 10:26
And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.
God, had given Saul, and for that matter, Israel, a new direction. In answer to their request, God had given them Saul to be king, but we see here that neither Saul, nor some of the people were ready to accept God’s direction. Nevertheless, God provided for Saul, a band of men. After all, does not a King require retainers? And to confirm Saul as king, God then provides Saul an opportunity to lead, Which Saul shows himself able. Consider what the Psalmist says:
I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right,
And that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
And apply it not only to the events surrounding God making Saul a king, but to what is happening in your life as well. Remember, by definition God is right! So what do you need to do, to bring yourself onto his side? Selah [Think on that.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
