Rejoice Over Answered Prayer

Today's verse is Psalm 116:1-2
I love the LORD, because he hath heard
      My voice and my supplications.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,
Therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

We see here the thanksgiving of a man who had responded to the call, the example found in another Psalm, of those that cried unto the Lord God, and therefore, they were delivered. We do not know if this man waited patiently for God’s deliverance, or as we find in a few Psalms, a regular cry, “How Long, O Lord?” But, in the fulness of time, He was delivered, so now we are given but a small token of the Joy he felt, as he gives the most Holy one his praise for the work he has done. Where are you on this cycle? Are you in the midst of turmoil? (Hard not to be at such a time as this.) Have you cried upon the Most Holy One, who Created Heaven and Earth, and are waiting for his answer? Be patient, if need be with longsuffering, he has heard you, and is already working on your behalf. Have you experienced being delivered? Do not forget it, Remember it, share God’s faithfulness to others, for as he has done for you once, he will do again, and as he has done for you. . . He is willing to do for others. Amen.

To God be the Glory
