God Works Still Among Men

Today's verse is 1 Samuel 30:13
And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.

Right when David and his men needed some information, they find a man abandoned by his master, who had what David needed, right when he needed it. Happenstance? Consider what Jesus said of the wind, “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” To borrow this illustration, Just as the wind cannot be seen, but we can see its effect, so also can the work of God be seen by those with eyes to see. So are you in trouble? Seek the face of God, and make your request known, repenting of your sin, and he will hear and answer, and at the right time deliver you. Amen.
