The Consequence Of Whom We Fear

 

Today's verse is Psalm 115:13

     He will bless them that fear the LORD,

      Both small and great.

     As we look about us today, is there not cause to fear, Yea, is there not cause to tremble? Yet, if we for that fear, recognize the one that ought to be feared, and turn to him, the one that made the Heavens and the Earth, we have this simple promise, that if we fear him that made us, He is the one that will also bless us. In another place we are told that he will even deliver us from all of our troubles. So let us not listen to those that tell us to: Envy our Neighbor, nor to hear them when they command us to Blame our Neighbor for our own faults. And finally listen not to them that proclaim the false freedom of Following any and all of the Deceitful Desires of the Heart, for all of these lead to destruction by the God we ought to fear and acknowledge. Amen.
