Known Today, Forgotten Tomorrow

 

Today's verse is 1 Samuel 16:21

And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer. 

    And yet, nobody knew this shepherd boy as he faced the giant! Some would say that this could be a contradiction. Yet, I know that people can truly be so fickle. Have you been forgotten today, think nothing of it, but trust the Lord your God, and know that he has not forgotten you, but is working in you and around you to bring forth his perfect will for you in the fulness of time. You can trust that he is never late, however, also he is never early, because he knows all, and therefore, he knows when the perfect time is. So, again, Trust him, do not lean upon your own understanding, acknowledge him in everything (obey all that you understand in his Word) and he will show you the way you ought to go. Amen.
