Today's Verse is Genesis 35:1
And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth-el, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
Simeon and Levi had just delivered retribution upon the house of Shechem and the city in which they dwelt, not receiving the rebuke from their father who feared the current people of the Land. Who is right, who is wrong, I cannot tell except God Honored the curse placed upon these two brothers. Yet, God calls them to return to him unto Bethel (the house of God.) And in returning they receive God’s protection from all the people round about. Remember the three that went into the fire, regardless of whether God would deliver them? And so, until the appointed time of Judgment, there is an invitation from God to all that will hear to come to him, forsaking all other gods, for redemption. So, will you come to dwell with God, and him with you? Selah [Do not wait to long.] Amen.
