Today's Verse is Genesis 42:6
And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph’s brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.
At this time it would be appropriate to remember Joseph’s first dream: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. As Joseph had dreamed, so it now has occurred. The dream had been given over twenty years before its fulfillment, yet as Joseph had dreamed, so God brought it about. As God had fulfilled Joseph’s first expectation, so will we find that he will fulfill his second. So, whatever promises you have received from your Saviour, you can be sure to receive, starting with that full redemption on the day of Jesus Christ, when all that have believed, whether currently living, or fallen asleep, shall in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, when all that are then in Christ shall “the corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” So, let us look forward, and watch for the completion of all the promises God has made us. For if he made them, surly as he is God, he shall preform them. Amen.
To God be the Glory
