Today's Verse is Genesis 22:8
And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
Much has been said of this prophetic passage and the nature of the words “God will provide himself a lamb.” Arguing on whether or not God himself shall be the lamb. To settle this, let us look at the fulfillment. John the Baptist introduced Jesus Christ to us as the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world, and again John the Apostle introduces the one that is worthy to open the book as the Lamb, even as he is also called the Lion of Judah. Let us therefore, Rejoice, for God has not only provided a lamb to wash away our sins, But he truly has provided himself a lamb, in every sense of the Word “himself.” For it is Jesus Christ who is our Propitiation that we might have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. If you have not already, will you accept his gift today? Amen.
To God be the Glory
