Seeking God's Counsel

Today's Verse is Genesis 46:3
And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:

Before Israel continued on his journey to see the son he thought lost, he stopped and sought the face of God, and so God confirmed the action he was about to take. Let us also so learn from this, for you and I are limited in our understanding, and even now we see through a glass darkly, so as we consider our options, let us bring them to the Lord, lest we do as Israel did in Joshua’s day, and make a league with those who come to the table by deception. Has not our God promised, I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: /I will guide thee with mine eye. And again, But his delight is in the law of the Lord; /and in his law doth he meditate day and night. / And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, /That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; / His leaf also shall not wither; /And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Will you choose this day to walk always with the Lord? Amen.

To God be the Glory
