Today's Verse is Genesis 27:1
And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
We are here looking at one of those that have received the promise, who looked for a city whose builder and maker is God, and yet he faced the same issues with old age that all must face except a few such as Moses and Caleb, and perhaps Joshua. But as we are told by Paul, There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man, remembering also the musings of Solomon: The wise man’s eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all. So as we walk with our God seeking every day to gain in understanding as he chooses to teach us, learning more and more of him that we might walk worthy of him unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, let us not fret as our bodies begin to fail, but as we have recently observed, to still endeavor to live each day to its fullest to Honor the one who has saved us, even as we look to that day when the curse shall be lifted. Amen.
To God be the Glory
