What Would It Take For You To Believe?

Today's verse is Exodus 14:31
And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.

It is good that because the Israelites saw the work of God that they feared, therefore did they also believe. But consider also what Jesus said to Nathanael, “Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.” then also what he said to Thomas, “Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” There is a blessing to be had for believing early, to finding that God is God, before he judges those that believe not, before he makes himself known by a strong hand. Let us not be as the Egyptians, who refusing to believe, were destroyed. Therefore, let us now Repent, as see instead if God will spare, and heal our land, as we seek to follow him and walk in his ways. Amen.
