A Divine Appointment

 

Today's verse is John 4:4

And he must needs go through Samaria. 

    In the reading of the verse above, we must wonder, Why? Why does Jesus need go through Samaria? As we read on, we find that Jesus had an appointment with a woman, who among an despised people, was herself unwelcome. Yet, the God of this world had determined that on this day, he will meet with her, and on this day she learning the truth, will become one of God’s precious children. And not only her, but many others of Samaria will find redemption in Jesus Christ, because Jesus must needs to through Samaria. Are you in the place you ought to be? Know that God will tell you if you are not. Of his disciples, he commanded them to be ready to reap, will you as a Child of God, honor this command? Selah [Know your response.] Amen.
