Today's verse is Exodus 18:20
And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.
In reading this account of Jethro’s arrival, and the counsel he gave Moses, I noticed something: before God supplies, he presents the need! At this time God had not yet provided Moses, Arron, and the people of Israel with the Law, so what was Moses to teach these Judges? Now, if you will look, the Children of Israel had been in the wilderness three month before Moses went up to the Mount Sinai to receive the Law, so we can see that there may have been a short passage of time, from discovering the need, to the need being supplied. So, have you recognized a need? Does there appear to be something missing? Don’t murmur. Don’t complain. But look to the Most High God, trust in him, and know that when the time is right, he will supply your every need, just as he has promised. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Amen.
To God be the Glory
