Having Hope Of God's Promises Because He Has Kept His Word

 

Today's verse is Exodus 15:14

     The people shall hear, and be afraid:

      Sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.

    Having seen the Work of God, Moses considers the promises God has made to Israel, to give to them the land of Canaan, even as God had promised Abraham, and so even as Abraham was fully persuaded that, what [God] had promised, he was able also to perform. However, three days later the children of Israel forgot this, they failed to remember already how God had delivered them from the Egyptians, just because they had no water to drink. What has your Savior promised you? What obstacles do you face? What has God already done for you? Has he not given you his Son, that your sin might be forgiven? If he was willing to do this, why would he withhold anything else? Selah [know these answers, and rejoice, for blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.] Amen.
