When You Fall
Today's verse is Proverbs 24:16
For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: But the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Although the Word of God commands us to be perfect, for our God is perfect, we as children of Adam will stumble, and we will fall. This does not mean that we stop striving for that mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ, but rather when we stumble, and when we fall, we remember the example we have in David, who was a man after God’s own heart. For we see him stumble and fall time and again, but each time he sought his God, and turned to him, and repented anew, and God received him, disciplined him at times, but set him up again on his feet, and was pleased with him. So have you failed, What are you better than David? Look to Jesus Christ, place yourself upon his mercy which is everlasting and see what your God can do. Amen.
To God be the Glory
