Today's verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:24
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Immediate context: Jesus Christ will complete his Salvation in all of you that have trusted in his redemptive work. However, there also appears to be a greater context, in that what Jesus has called you to accomplish, he will accomplish in you, and through you. In the beginning of this chapter, it speaks of troublous times leading to that time that Jesus will call us away. So as we live in a time of trouble that spans the world, know that whatever purpose your Lord and Savior has called you, he will complete it. He will not allow you, nor the troubles of the times keep him from doing what he had promised. So look up, and ready yourself, but above all Trust him, who loves you and died for you, for as he completed his work on the Cross he will complete his Work in you. Amen.
