Today's verse is Psalm 44:3
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them: But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, Because thou hadst a favour unto them.
In a time such as this, we need to remember, by whom we have all that we have. Some would say that they have obtained all that they have by their own ability. Other say that other that have, have because they stole it, from those they have not. Both of these are lies. For it is God that sets up one, and leaves to his own devises another, but we see in Timothy today that he desires all to come to the knowledge of the truth. As Israel had God’s favor, so too can we obtain it through the grace of Jesus Christ, who by his sacrifice, is the mediator between God and men. So in this evil day, let us turn to the one who died for us, and cast off those lies by which others seek to control us, and learn of the freedom we have in Jesus. Amen.
To God be the Glory
