Today's verse is 1 Timothy 4:16
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Doctrine, or rather sound doctrine is the right understanding of God, and how he relates to mankind, and how a man might have a right relationship with him. Here we see Paul telling Timothy to consider these things and to conform himself to them, and as he does this, as he proclaims these thing to others, they will see God reflected in him, receiving that same promise that he received in Christ, obtaining that redemption that is available to all. So as Paul instructed Timothy let us do the same, and so too shall we see the same result as God through Paul promised Timothy. Amen.
