Travelers

Today's verse is Hebrews 13:12-13
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

I have titled this blog “The Traveler’s Rest,” for here we see that all that follow Christ are called upon to leave the camp (the camp being the society we live in,) that is we are to separate ourselves from the things of this world, and count ourselves as strangers, or travelers, in it. As travelers, or ambassadors, we bear the stigma of the one we represent, and while he is in truth, good and righteous, those that do not know him, hate him, for he reveals them for who and what they are. Nevertheless, he loves them, died for them, and so we seek to deliver to them this good news. Amen.
To God be the Glory
