Whose Business Should We Care For?
Today's verse is Luke 12:22-23
And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
And in another place we are told: “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” Consider therefore the response we should have to these two injunctions. In this world where it seems all about us is consumed with getting this, or getting that, or hiding, or escaping, what is to be our response? Should it not be as we find Jesus says just a little bit later, “But rather seek ye the kingdom of God?” So should we do, and if we do so, we can rest in this promise . . . “and all these things shall be added unto you.” Amen.
