What is no Faith?

Today's verse is Deuteronomy 32:20
And he said, I will hide my face from them,
I will see what their end shall be:
For they are a very froward generation,
Children in whom is no faith.

This verse is speaking of the children of Israel as they denied God, as they often did, even as they saw with their own eyes the Power and Majesty of God for what seemed like a daily basis. Yet they did not believe God, even apparently refused to believe God; therefore, having no faith. Yesterday, I read a signature, apparently quoting Nietzsche, saying, “Faith is for those that do not want to believe the truth.”  For Nietzsche, and all of those that do not believe in God this is indeed a true saying. For faith is only as good as its object, and those that believe that there is no God, must do so exercising blind faith, or faith that has no real object. Just as the children of Israel is described to do in this verse. Therefore, let us base our faith first on God’s Word, which as we test it with patience, we will find that God is Faithful, always! Amen
