Today's verse is John 21:23
Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
Is the Apostle John alive today? As John said, that is not what Jesus said. The point that was being made was what is that to thee? The command posed to Peter was: Follow me! It is a command and request that we all receive, and an answer we must all give. The Lord your God (whether you accept him as such or not) has a purpose for you, just as he had for Peter, will you do it? It does not matter what purpose God has for your neighbor, that does not concern you. Will you follow Jesus Christ? The way will be fraught with trouble and toil, but the reward is literally Out of this world and more than you can ever imagine, but the cost of refusing is to be avoided by all means, But only Jesus can provide it! So, will you? Better, Wilt Thou? Wilt thou Follow Jesus today? Selah [Ponder this.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
