Today's verse is 1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Where does words like “prude” or “repressed” come from? It comes from those that would call the above statement a lie! Do we love God? Do we love those that have been redeemed of God? Do we love those that God created? One secular author defined love as “seeking the best for the loved one, whatever the price.” Is this not what Jesus did, when he died upon that tree called the Cross? Did not Paul say that love is the fulfilling of the law? let us therefore Rejoice, for our Redeemer Lives, and he dwells within us, and as he has risen from the dead, so too have we been raised up to walk in the newness of life, enabled to walk with him, and to love as he loved, even unto death, (what is being called a name compared to that?) looking for that Joy that should follow. Amen.
To God be the Glory
