Today's verse is Galatians 2:19-20
For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
When Jesus Christ lived with us, He fulfilled all the law. When he was crucified, he being innocent died for the guilty, of which I am one. Now my sins now being on the cross with Christ, and his Spirit dwelling in me, I am to live under his control, which if I do, I would be free from sin, as would you. But let us remember John’s counsel: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Elsewhere Paul also reminds us that we are saved by hope, but if we see what we hope for, why do we still hope? So. let us always remember what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross, confessing to God our sins, seeking to live by the power of the Spirit of Christ, looking unto that day when Jesus shall make us whole in him. Amen.
To God be the Glory
