Even In Dying, Jesus Showed Himself, God

Today's verse is Mark 15:35
And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

When Jesus died, what did the centurion see, that convinced him that Jesus was the Son of God, that is to say: God! Surly, from where he was, he could not see the veil of the temple rend? Did he see some of the dead rise up, as Matthew describes? As soon as Jesus died, did the Sun so shine again? (Remember for three hours in the middle of the day it was dark.) What was the cry Jesus made, for it apparently was significant in the centurions Appraisal. What ever it was, there was nothing natural about it, and what we now know, Jesus in dying took upon himself the penalty for all that sinned. And the story does not end here, for on the third day, having paid the price in full for sin, Rose up, and is now seated on the right hand of the Father, making intercession for all that we accept this gift. Have you? Amen.

To God be the Glory
