Today's verse is Psalm 36:1
The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart,
That there is no fear of God before his eyes.
This Psalm is interesting in its construction. It starts out examining the wicked, and their lack of understanding of who God is (no fear of God,) and follows with a description of how they spend their days. Yet in the middle, David praises God for his Righteousness, his Judgment and his Loving kindness, and how in him we can have abundance and guidance. And finally at the end, that how the wicked shall fall, utterly cast down, in other words, destroyed, and without hope. In reading this psalm, I was reminded in another place God tells us that there is one that restrains (lets,) and there is coming a time when that restraining hand shall be removed, and in a big part their judgment will be them getting their hearts desire until it destroys them. So, let us not fail to speak up, and warn, and promise of God’s Righteousness, his Judgment, and his Loving kindness to all men. Amen.
To God be the Glory
