Today's verse is Proverbs 28:26
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool:
But whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Often today, we are counseled to follow our heart, but is this what God tells us here? Nay, but we are to walk wisely. How? Is there not a promise that God has given us, even: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. So, rather than trusting your lying heart, with it trust God, or/and trust God with it, and as you follow his direction, he shall as he promised, deliver you. Amen.
