A More Sure Word

Today's verse is Ecclesiastes 1:5-7
The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

It has been said that the Bible is not a science book. Yet, when it touches upon things that can be known and tested by the scientific method, nothing it has said has ever been falsified, nor will it ever be! The passage above was written by Solomon about a thousand years before Christ, and several hundred years before the Greek philosophers lived, yet it would fit as the simplest definition of the weather cycle a modern textbook could give. When reading your Bible, God’s Word, know that it was given by God, who cannot lie, and as the maker of all, he knows all things, and what he has given is a sure foundation. Amen.

To God be the Glory
