Today's verse is Leviticus 16:6
And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
Aaron, an high priest by the command of God, still before he could offer for the sins of the people, had to first offer for himself, for he, himself, also was a sinner, impure in the eyes of an Holy God. Yet, today, we see Jesus, born of a virgin, not having the corruption of sin passed down from Adam, made a priest after the order of Melchisedec, suffered the Cross, the sinless taking the place of the sinful, that all that will might come to him and find forgiveness and redemption, their debt to God paid in full, by this blood of the Lamb, which he shed once for all. Have you been so washed in this blood and, therefore, been made clean? Selah [Do not rest till you know this.] Amen.
To God be the Glory
