Today's verse is I Chronicles 12:23
And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
Our God has given each of us many promises as Peter has recorded, that we might be fully equipped to live a godly life in a sinful world, at least some like David here has been given personal direction, and thus a personal promise, which is now seeing its fulfilment. Our God promises that if we seek him, that he will guide us, even personally, into the path and purpose he has for us, and as he kept his Word to David, we can be sure that he will keep his word to us. So choose once again today, to lay hold of all of the promises your God has given you, for he is faithful, even when we are not, and he will fulfill all that he had said. Amen.
